Small car on hillside is a 47 or 48 crosley
Where is the guardrail in the woods located
That place looks so cool. My daughter and I love to look for and pick up glass any time we are near water.
Looks to me like a 1934-1935 Buick 4dr sedan.inline 8 model.?🤔
Hello Bob I’ve been a bottle digger for years. My wife and me went to the mountains for the weekend. The motel we were staying in has a river behind it so I walked out in the shallows to look around. When I looked back at my wife I saw colored glass under the over hang of the bank. Well even though there’s people everywhere I took a stick and started poking around and man I hit a gold mine of old stopper top pharmacy bottles. Clear ones. Brown ones lots of other glass ware. My wife said babe their watching you from across the river. I said let ‘em call the cops. Well I filled a bag full of bottles and went in the room to wash them I had three brown ones. Small medium and large. While washing them I knocked the small one off and broke it. Want tell you how mad I got but my ears turned red. I asked the lady that owned the motel how long she had lived there she said she was born there. I had told my wife bet u there was a pharmacy here and the dumped the bottles in a ditch down here by the river. Well the motel lady raised there said there was a pharmacy inside of an old grocery store when she was a kid so I was right. Well it was a trout stream and I figured they would get me for eroding the bank even though I didn’t have to dig hardly any. Lord willing I live to get back u may have to go my bail. Bob I got it bad. Love them old bottles. ✌️✌️
That little car is a Crosley!!!
A tramp in the woods, loved it !
That Crosley coup only had the one taillight like that.
Crusher material
1947 buick
Orange flags, that land is about to get developed.
First one looks like an around 1940 GM product sedan.
late 40's Crosley @ 17:00
At 6:51 that rectangular piece is a brass frame to an 1860's era tintype photograph. Nice find.
@@almcgeehan8029 nice Thanks for the info
Easy on the side swooping and swinging of the phone. You’re making everyone dizzy.
Ok
Your dump site is on either side of the creek bank up close to the bridge trestles. My best bet!
I’m wondering if there are fossils in your rocks. Should be stuff!
When collecting bottles. You want to find pink purple glass. Aqua blue glass. Amber glass. You want bottles with actual words on them. Remedy, cure, pharmacy, whisky, beer, town names. Your dump is dating 1920 to 1940 in my opinion. Not to complain. Slow the camera swing down, please! But your narration? Fantastic! Fun! And informative. And very on point accurate ( patriot truth ). I like your teaching yourself history. A must if you collect! Old bottles 1890’s will have cork tops not screw tops. Also side neck bottle seams on pre 1900 glass bottles usually stops mid neck.
H in arch Anchor Hocking Glass company 1920 to present I think. Vicks helped breathing. Cleared sinus’s. Hated the stuff! But it worked. It was a jelly applied like chap stick.
I want to discuss some great ideas that will help your video growth
Ok
A under H mark was used by Hazel Atlas Co starting in 1923, per Glass Bottle Marks website.
Heh, I knew if I was wrong someone would pick up the slack and correct it, Thanks Jeb
I believe that mark is for the Anchor Hocking glass company. Like your videos, shows me the creeks are beautiful in all parts of Missouri. Thank you
@lori791, I couldn't remember which one it was. Had to go look it up!
The A is for Atlas glass co.
I couldn't finish your video due to motion sickness. You need to do a slow sweep. I do like what I did watch though. I'm in southwest Missouri so it's nice seeing familiar terrain.
@@jennifermoore4659 Noted. Thanks for the feedback. I recently picked up a camera holder type thing that should help eliminate most of that.
0:51 I stay up all night doing research on glassware and such and know that the symbol you are describing is for the glass baking company Anchor and Hocking. They mainly made mason jars and glass lids for Mason jars.
Nice. Thank you
@@AdventureswithB.O.B. no problem, ask me if you need help with anything else.
Did you say it was 2020?
Yes. As in the first part of the new decade.
I figured that 😂 i like your video. @AdventureswithB.O.B.
Be careful moving the leaves around we have copper head snakes
It breaks my heart to see a creek in that condition. I really admire your ability to make sense out of bits and pieces. Thanks
@susanolson3611 Good morning Susan. Thanks for watching. It comes from years of poking around and learning what some of this stuff is. Finding it is only half the fun, I spend days looking up and understanding what and why these items played a role in daily life. Some cool history.
@@AdventureswithB.O.B. I love history too. You must be watching mudlark videos from London's Thames river. There's some history for you!
@susanolson3611 Aquachigger videos is what got me started years ago. I was originally looking for civil war bullets.
@@AdventureswithB.O.B. I used to watch him! He has a great channel, with the largest sunglass collection in the world. lol
You should take a leaf blower with you
looks like a great spot. everyone always loves a good stealth camp video. especially if there's terrible weather or you could get caught!!! 😄
I wouldn't mind spending a few hours doing that, Thanks 😃✌
Stay tuned. I post a new video every Friday morning. Lots more to come.
You should have packed some mosquito repellent.
Small towns are just what we want. 😊
How come you didn't buy something at the "Snack Shack"?
I did. I always get a few jars of jelly.
That's right. Get on the trail. Now you're doing it right.
Cooper's Landing?
Yes
Nice save Bob. This is all part of the Katy Trail?
Yes
Com'n Bob. Let's ride. Don't care about the eagles nest. Do you belong to the Audubon Society?
@johnhughes597 I'm not part of the Audubon Society. The bald eagles we have local are cool to see from time to time. Bear with me, I get into lots of other adventures besides bike riding. In a few weeks I'll have several videos of creek walking and bottle digging. And then I'll have a bunch a winter bike rides to go on. I love the winter rides the most, much better views of the cliffs and river.
Just came across your channel. I’m a avid cyclist from Lincoln, Ne retired. I’ve been wanting to ride the Katy Trail for some time now. I really enjoy watching your videos as it gives good info on what to expect. Question, are you planning on doing the whole trail in videos? Also are there thorns and burrs to watch out for on the trails? Thanks.
@jimschuman9926 I might do the entire trail one day, probably not on video. The trails are great, no thorns or anything like that to worry about. The worst I've seen is a few down trees and some washout spots that took extra time to deal with.
ebike is 100% cheating ....stay off the trails...ride the road with your electric scooter..
@BlackSheep883-d7n I'm sure glad the law isn't based on your hate. I'm fully legal in every way.
@BlackSheep883-d7n Hahaha I just realized what my next new video is going to be this coming Friday. Even bigger ebike with more power and range, you're gonna love it, I can tell already.
Is that pigeons or an owl
Well now I'm not sure
