Closing Thoughts: Reminders as You Hit the Field in 2023
With those yields, I can see why wheat is cheap. 2400 slices of bread with the farmer getting $6.50
What are the herbicides names You reccomend for Poa trivialis?
We had a field that hit 70 bushel wheat in the mid 1980's which was amazing. But, that field was in a cotton rotationon good sandy loam soils. We did not apply any fall P&K we relied on carry over from our cotton crop. At the time county average was about 36 to 38 bpa. So we were well pleased by our yield.almost double !
i am interested in sowing equipment

Do you know if there is a similar program for Wisconsin?
Great job!
Hey. This channel is very interesting. How can I get best see of wheat
very good, thanks for share!
I still cant see what hes talking about on harvesting wheat at a higher moisture.. Why would you want to pay the drying bill just for it to be higher quality for someone else to benefit?🤔 We dont get premiums for anything as far as quality. The only thing you benefit from is higher test weights..
Some of our highest yielding soft wheat varieties barely meet quality standards (test weight) in some years, so discounts begin to add up with a rain delayed harvest. It's also common to doublecrop with soybeans & delay also costs soy yields. This is in MO, but I think the situation is similar all across the soft winter wheat region.
Can not hear what they are saying
