She didn't want to see, in my opinion, he was a player. That's why he kept telling on himself, wanting out of the engagement. I believe there's just a handful of guys that are there for real love. Just watched the documentary last night. So sad. For clarification, the pastor uses the word of God and twists it to have ultimate control. The Bible says “die to yourself” in terms of denying desires that are tempting but will lead you on the wrong path. This pastor is twisting it to turn vulnerable people against the ones who love them the most, their family. This is not a Christian point of view.

Jillian, I'm a new subscriber thanks to this interview. As a 78-year-old survivor of CSA, my views on relationship are a bit different, for where most see only men and women, I see masculine energy and feminine energy. I think this is where most young people miss it, for you've been conditioned to be self-centered. That's not a slight; it's a fact of life in Western culture today. Women, to me, seem overly concerned with "sharing THEIR lives" instead of allowing the energy to take over and building upon that. I'd argue that there's no such thing as a 50-50 relationship. It must to 100-100 to really thrive, because both are locked into their partner's best interests over their own. The great Bachelor example is Thomas and Becca. He broke through with thinking that said, "Just imagine what WE can do together!" I have always LOVED Rachel, but I see her as one who, at least partially, rejects her powerful feminine energy. How can we blame her, however, because she works in an industry dominated by men. In my view, the biggest problem with "girls' girls" is that you are extraordinarily afraid of the vulnerability it takes to truly connect with male energy, and this might be because you want to possess some of it yourselves. My life has been one ginormous trauma response, and my life's work, quite naturally, has been to study it in order to figure out what was wrong with me. Keep at it, darlin', for you are on the cusp of something really important.
