Johnson Street IEMD

Welcome to Johnson Street IEMD, which forms two parts
Number One is - a "close to exhibition standard'' fictional end to end OO gauge layout inspired by Crewe IEMD, and is a satellite depot for some of DB Cargo's electric locomotives, primarily Class 90s, which are being maintained here for a variety of purposes including Malcolm Rail. The depot is operated by DB and is located somewhere south of Crewe and north of Daventry's DIRFT facility. The method of control is DCC.
Number Two is, is the locos that inspire the above, there is an electric traction bias here, predominantly DB's Class 90s, other DB traction, including the 92s, 60s when I come across them, occasional 66s and 67s, as its virtually impossible not to see them. There are also other operators electric traction, and other unusual sites.

It's probably because I think MSC ( Mediterranean shipping containers) are based at Felixstowe. Nice to see 90044, saw it last Friday at Ipswich 😊

Also got to see four class 90:s stabled at Ipswich station and by the freightliner depot there. I got home via Ipswich because the trains between Peterborough and Norwich were fcuked bigtime due to signalling issues.
Another brilliant video my friend. I was at Peterborough on friday when the new EMR 810 aurora stopped and i got a good close up look at it.

Looks nice but sit on them for 3-5 hours & the seats are like Park Benches.
@mt5144 I sat on one, 805011, for about 30 mins .. and just think 🤔, what it's like, running leccy where Voyagers would have been polluting our lovely planet ... surely that's worth a thought ..
Oh to be able to sneak one of them out of there for static display over here. Sadly, I don't think they'd fit in the boot of my car, so I'll have to just settle for the 5-inch gauge version I own.
