Hey Rev. Ty - this is a follow up to your message last Wednesday about God sees me struggle but He also sees the reason behind my struggle. I ordered the daily devotional you recommended: Streams in the Desert. There was a line today (August 30th) that just laid me out: “the only thing that helps no one is a dead calm.” I’ve never been a fisherman but I’ve encountered some storms and winds over the last 75 years. So I know for sure - dead calm rarely helped me grow. It gave me relief and I pretty much stayed still but I hardly advanced. Continued blessings on you and your ministry anointed preacher / teacher!

As a retired mathematics educator I so appreciate how you remember and pray for those working in this rewarding but often challenging profession.

Just watched Dr. Charlie Date’s sermon from this past Sunday and post resurrection God manifested himself in a number of ways; a few that the disciples and others didn’t recognize Him. This weekend I heard a PERFECTLY placed "Get it Together" song by India.Arie on the score of Shark Tales and my whole body knew that I needed to listen to that song and reflect. I didn't realize that I had not been listening to healing music in a while (due in part to my vacation), but in that moment, I saw that I craved it. Certain things aren't of interest to me like I used to be interested in, and I have noticed a shift in what I consume with my gradual evolution. There is def a connectoin. This is a virtual diary entry. Good work!
