      I believe your engine is jammed from overheating, same thing happened to me and luckily it only needed new seals and bearings, engine block and pistons were not damaged. Hopefully your case is the same.

    Great video - was having the same overheating problem with my 13 model after changing a coolant pipe. I messed with the air bleeds as well - thinking they needed to be released, but every time it made it worse. I watched your video, did what you did - waited, added water, again. Fixed it!!! Thanks for investigating and sharing. Finicky vehicles the RR are!

    That hose right above your radiator, to the left of the fan, (you said “idk what that is) squeeze that hose to bleed out any excess air! And there should be two more lines at the top left as well!

  • @izzyc11
    @izzyc11 7 месяцев назад

    Follow your anti freeze lines and squeeze the lines to check to see if any trapped air! Hope this helps you out! When it overheats turn on the heater, it should go the other way

    Water and antifreeze has a different boiling points. If you put more water, it overheats faster and buildup more pressure. Also, if your cup not holding properly pressure that will lower boiling point in the water in the antifreeze will boil and convert to a steam.

I have a 2016 Range Rover in for repair where the engine was nearly destroyed because of stop leak! never ever use Stop leak in a Range Rover!!!!!!!!!!! Find the leak and and replace what is leaking that is the only way stop leak facilitates neglect not to mention it gums up the inner workings of engine cooling system, whatever such as valves gears and so on only causing more damage and more repairs to be made, just don’t use it!!!!!!!

    These Range Rovers have a bad Y hose/pipe coming off of the water pump to the engine. They deteriorate at the nipple of the hose and start flowing radiator fluid onto the top of the engine and start burning it. I’m assuming since you are pouring water that’s why you weren’t smelling it. Radiator fluid would have a distinct smell when burning it.

    Do the easy thing first plz. Just park on a steep hill take the top off turn the engine on and heater flat out for 15 mins. It’s dead easy. Then reset the ECU.

    Another tip if stuck on the road. Drive but put the heater on flat out it will take the heat away

  • @garydeandeery
    @garydeandeery Год назад

    Really lol. Why don’t you empty the rad Then lift the front left so it’s the highest point. Then fill up as much as possible. Then leave the cap off. Start the engine put the heating on full heat. Then add water when it goes down After get to temp add the cap. And undo the bleeding screw. There’s one at the front and one half way and at the back then level the car job done

  • @garydeandeery
    @garydeandeery Год назад

    Fill it up park on a hill run the engine with the heater on full top up if level drops try keep the bottle as the highest point run for 10 mins then fit cap wait few minutes then turn the screws from front to back
