Nicely played but there really should be a law against using a double top on anything by Dowland (yes Smallman's too). This is a mortal sin and makes the music sound horrible, regardless of how good the player is and this is a very good player. The basses and the entire tone of the guitar is just so very heavy for this music. Especially on a guitar with wolftones in more than one spot and in particular the F#'s. Again, super nice playing though. Love the interpretation. Now go play this on a well balanced traditional guitar where beauty of tone is emphasized. Maybe a Field or a Hauser.
