I really cannot see why China is seen as a peril by Australia. There is nothing China does threatens Australia's security. South China Sea issue has got nothing to do with Australia. The same with Taiwan. Actually, it's not a threat to the US's security either, but a threat to the its hegemony in the region. The US wants to have a free reign in Asia, but China doesn't like to be threatened by it. Australia has been brainwashed by the US into believing that China is a peril for the whole Asia. In the same way as the Japanese was in the WWII. I really hope Australian politicians and analysts cultivate some commonsense and intelligence into the whole situation. Surely Australians are not that dumb to be fooled by the US which are acting selfishly to protect its hegemony, which has become unrealizeable, as their true strength, the USD, is losing its power.

Australia is very lucky that no country has tried to cause trouble to Australia using agents in its neighboring country Indonesia.
