Watched a playthrough of the demo and thought it was fantastic. Honestly I was a bit worried when they changed directors and Covid somewhat threw off plans. But it really looks like all the love that Remake was clearly made with is still there in Rebirth. Music is already top notch. Hope y’all can stay spoiler free, you’re in for a fuckin ride!

Wasteland 3 came out on Playstation. It is being replaced by Morrowind which never did release on Playstation. Still an incredibly tough matchup for it going against BOTW, but Morrowind is one of my favorite games whereas Wasteland 3 is not.

My prediction for summer games fest is we will see Ken Levine's new game Judas probably at the main SGF show. For my question, do you think there is any chance E3 could come back in the future and what do you think E3 can do to get people excited about it again if it does return?

Where are all the first party Sony games? Hopefully off changing up the tired formula they've been stuck on for years. If I have another 3rd person open world game with tall grass to hide in I'm gonna lose my mind. The world needs new ideas or at least old ideas made new and not just another TLOU clone with a different coat of paint.

I’d be surprised if the FF7 Rebirth comes out anytime after March ‘24 considering they have to have had everything they want to do with the trilogy mapped out and it’s just a matter of building it. Staying in the FF theme, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a FF9 remake or Final Fantasy Tactics remaster announced, they’ve been rumored for so long now

To be fair Ubisoft are cooking up a few interesting titles. The Avatar open world game, X defiant actually looks really solid and obviously new AC is always welcome.

Not a huge fan of games that are basically movies getting a live action treatment (though TLOU was really good). So not sure FF7 would be the best choice. FF6 would be a good one to do. Would also love to see a live action version of the very underrated Final Fantasy Tactics. Would it have to be live action? What about something like Chrono Trigger turned into an anime

I think what made Diablo 2 so memorable for fans was that everything was so customizable and there’s so many builds and rare items to find. I’ve seen a lot that D3 lost pretty much all of that charm. Still not sure if I’ll pick up D4 though, especially with the Battle Pass that Scott mentioned

I think that Redfall was the game Eric was trying to think of. Also the psychonauts documentary rules!

Excited for FF7 Rebirth later this year. They absolutely knocked part 1 out of the park. There’s a couple things they’re going to need to address in Parts 2&3, but overall that’s about as perfect as it gets for a remake. Also, I have a suspicion Gamefreak will announce a Legends: Celebi game later this month on Pokémon Day along with the Gameboy games coming to Switch, so looking forward to another entry there

I'm not sure why they didn't make FF7 Remake turn-based combat. The original has great re-playability, so it would still work just fine, and could introduce people who have never played turn-based games like that. But the character design and remastered soundtrack is spot on. Brett deserves the point on the Avengers gameplay prediction. It looked like the scenes on the bridge with Iron Man and Hulk were definitely gameplay, but maybe removed the HUD and the mechanics
