@g.a.srepairs4384 no that's fine I just wanted ask I'm trying to collect the different models of commercial toro mowers, and I think this model on the video will be the hardest one to find cause it's considered to be semi commercial so I think they'll be hard to find. I don’t think it’s toast, I would check the spark plug first and make sure it’s good. Then check the valve clearances and make sure they are in spec, then maybe take the head off and see if there’s any damage on the head, piston or cylinder. Also see if the push rods are straight and not bent.

I have a video about replacing the head on a exmark with a Kawasaki fj180v, it may help you but I would watch a video about valve adjustment because I’m not very experienced with that.

Check the head gasket as well, the only other thing I can think of is valve seals, so if you have the tools for a leak down test than I would suggest doing a leak down test.

I didn’t torque the flywheel bolt because I don’t have a tool to hold the flywheel in place while I torque down the bolt. I could put a block of wood between the deck and blade but I’ve never had a problem with just using an impact.

The fan is held in by two plastic pins that are apart of the fan and go into the flywheel. I’ve never had a stuck fan but I have broken the pins on one before so be careful, I think you can just leave it on however.

Could be a couple problems but I would test for compression and if it good (100-150psi) then I would clean the carburetor. If that didn’t work I’d do a pressure and vacuum test, and if it holds pressure I would try and change the carburetor and gas filter. And see happens from there.

I have not used a 450 yet but I’ve heard they’re nice saws, sorry to hear about the 395 it’s a shame, if I where able to get any saw a 395 would be my go too.

I got it from my grandfather as well as a lot of the others.

I forgot to put it back on after putting it back together. After the test run I put in on though.

@g.a.srepairs4384 😆 🤣 I hear ya, when my friend comes to help stack wood hes says my neighbors must hate me.. loud 6L gmc and been working on a broken chipper this week. I was using my splitter all day yesterday and on lunch break i went and got the stihl 362c yesterday so had to play with that too. I just make sure to offer them wood for winter.

Hey, I haven’t bought any Echo chainsaw parts, I would have to say EBay, but you would need to look often. Other than that parts and almost impossible to find.

Yah but if its spraying out your decompression valve might be louse.

Hey thanks for the tips I will be sure to use them but the only way I can start this saw is drop starting or like you said between my legs and since every time I pull the rope the décompresser turns off and I need to press it again, I just drop start it without the décompresser instead of continuously pressing the décompresser.

@@g.a.srepairs4384 When you the decomp button one time it stays on until the saw starts up. Stihl saws I run True Fuel. They seam to LOVE IT. 50:1 Red can. For 3 years ALL of my saw pretty much start like clock work 3 4 pulls burp. 2 3 more pulls she fires up. So its not like you should be pulling more then 6 7 times. And your not starting a big block saw like a 661 or something.
