About the Coquitlam Crunch 'Diversity' Challenge
OH WOW IT HAS CHANGED SINCE THEN
Wait, how far from the school is that?
This is at the top of the Crunch and you follow the path to the east below the road, you'll find this spot before the houses.
Wsg fellow Canadian. That is by my school and I have stood where you are standing.
Excellent video!!!!
Just cutting it won't stop the broom, you need to dig out the roots...not a fun job with hand tools.
Hi Athol, Thanks for your feedback. That is most often true for invasives. I invite you to research the methods for eradicating Scotch broom at broombusters.org
Thank You Broombusters!!
Makes a lot of sense

British Columbia has amazing forests. I am lucky to live two blocks from a small one, but it reminds me of all the forest within a mile of me...
My youngest Jackie sang tonight at her high school talent show. She'd been rehearsing with her friend Juan, who accompanied her on guitar for some weeks now. It's been quite awhile since I've heard her sing publicly, the last was in Grand Bahama at the Labyrinth. She was affectionately introduced tonight as "Bahama Mama". There's something about listening to your child sing. It's like ointment on a wound. To see your child perform on stage is a whole other experience. For me, I felt like I was right there with her... one with her. I could feel every change in the music, and feel the emotion. The song they chose to cover was not an easy one. "Run" by Daughter is a haunting song with lilts and lifts. I snapped away on the camera as I was memorized with my daughter and I became teary. I could hear nothing but her. Then, I heard more than just her... I heard my youngest sister singing through her, then my oldest sister, and then my mother was singing through her. She was a chord of song running through my lineage. It may sound dramatic, but it was really quite simple. Simple and beautiful...
Wow! Looks like that W(h)achell creativity and charisma at work again ;)
Yip, talent in spades :)
Great job Jackie!
Ah, a rising star in action. :)
