Good explanation.. So if I open the wall switch for my common room light, I only see 2 wires, both brown.. Is this ring circuit...? Meaning the switch is placed at the last return connection?

For my house of more than 30yo, how to trace the switch socket outlet to which breaker? Your advise is highly appreciated: 1) SLD & breaker is labelled but SSO & lighting point, lighting switch is not labelled. 2) How to determine for the SSOs on Room A is not joint to Room B or others? 3) Is there a safe way to trip th a breaker from the SSO (maybe switch one of the single-phase cables)? 4) Any recommended method or equipments to trace it?

This really is a problem all these years. Not checking the voltage specs the easiest to check, yet often overlooked, shadowed just by the prices. Indeed those sellers are genuine to sell those at different voltages because they need to cater for the other voltages elsewhere. However, the other part of the products are also bad. Most of them now uses undersized cables with cores made of copper plated aluminium. Alumium having lesser electrical capabilities to copper of the same size, heats up and fails prematurely. Made worse with the already undersizing the cables to supply large load appliance.
