The guy is very good at rhetoric & using a piece of factual data out of the whole context and spin it to fit his aims of stirring up troubles for the country, and discrediting others (Thailand and former ruling cabinet led by Gen Prayuth in particular). One of his favorite talking points is there's no anti-monopoly law in Thailand which he and his party want to change by enacting it. He's repeatedly brought this up in interviews with foreign media and organizations. His statement here is totally misleading if not wrong because Thailand does have anti-trust laws which encompass anti-competition, price-fixing, mergers, and monopoly, etc., even though the laws do not specifically used the English word of monopoly. Here are the laws. You can verify the fact by Google search "does Thailand have anti-monopoly laws" to the get the truth yourself. It's Thailand Trade Competition Act (Price Fixing & Anti-monopoly act of 1979) or พระราชบัญญัติการแข่งขันทางการค้า พ.ศ. 2542 และ 2560.

It’s indeed the great loss of Thailand and her people not to have Pita and the MFP to run the country. Thank you for the interview. I have looked up to the Korean political history and admired the Korean people who had had heroic fight/protest to finally get democracy in place. I do respect my fellow Thais who voted MFP and wanted a better Thailand in all aspects.
