Volvo Brake Pressure Sensor (DSTC)
Просмотров 2315 месяцев назад
Volvo cars on the P2 platform with DSTC (Dynamic Stability & Traction Control) are fitted with two brake pressure sensors. When one of the sensors fails the car will throw a fault code for either Sensor 1 or Sensor 2. With an appropriate scan tool you can look at the values of the sensors and find which one is faulty. Readings with the ignition on and not touching the brake pedal should be Zero...

Some pictures taken of the Volvo 850 GLT from the last 4 years of owning it. This is possibly the most original Volvo 850 left in the UK. 27 year old factory paint, entire history dating back to before the car was built. Full service history, every MOT certificate the car has had. An unmodified 850 with the exception of a dash cam that can be removed without causing any damage. Every part excep...

This one is a 1947 p2 14 sport it is black. Apparently it was owned by a farmer who got too old to drive it on Vancouver island. I hope to go up and look at it Friday with a trailer.
I'm looking at one of these cars in Canada right now to buy and take to Washington state. Your video helped me see some of 5he style of the car. Thanks
I know there are a few P3 cars in Canada but I don't know of any P2 cars
To są poprawne wartości?
What is the issue with it? Mine has started to sound the same. 2.4i
The sound in the video is the vacuum pump running ever time I press the brake pedal. If you turn the ignition on and the vacuum pump runs then stops everything is good, if when stopped you press the brake pedal and the pump runs for a few seconds, everything is good. If your pump constantly runs or never runs you need to diagnose the problem
@@850glt thanks for the explanation. I thought something was wrong due to the sound. I just changed breaks (disc's, pads and calipers) in the back. I have never heard the pump running and according to this video there could be som kind of leak in the vacuum system. ruclips.net/video/yIk_aePgzJI/видео.htmlsi=2eLQVUTx0wldpMX0
Красавица !!!!!
This does not count for a manual gearbox v70?
Correct, it was only fitted to petrol turbo cars. It was not fitted to N/A engines or diesel engines
Вольво 740 мехонический инжектор задний мост, обрезал корпус, до самого редуктора где стоит полуось правую сторону??? Как такого не было на других авто
Nostalgia, my dad had this car when I was kid. What a gorgeous contraption.
thanks @swecol1992 Nostalgia is exactly what the entire classic car scene is all about. Glad you enjoyed the clip
850 glt wagon is still one of my favorite cars.
Не надо рычать придурок, эта машина аристократов, для неспешной езды.
HI, God she looks brand new, i have a red 850 t5 saloon now,
Yes she scrubbed up well. There are a few videos on here with her if you look through my channel. T5 is a nice car, hope you enjoy it
@850glt she as scubbed up better than we'll. Can't believe how she looks. Got to spend some money on mine to get her right. Have watched your videos. Your viva ha. I had one to. Was my first car and paid £20 for it ha ha.
hi there, did you buy the lovely car from a guy in st.helens a few years ago ?
Yes Alan, it was your car. I've been on a bit of a journey finding out all its history which you can read all about in this link. 850glt.wordpress.com
Great car, i had the T5
😍😍
I LIKED IT
Only 60742 miles? It is brand new!
Now at 62,205 miles
@@850glt Still the same.
Had a 16 in 1960, l0ved.
Had my 850 10v manual Estate from new but my speedometer isn’t working like yours. ABS module solder joints?.
Check the wire plug connections to the ABS module as they corrode and cause all sorts of problems
Nice. Where is this car mainly driven? Mine is 27 years in western NY, not as nice underneath but still holding up well.
Thank you, the car is in Scot;and now but spent its first 2 years in Germany then the next 22 in the south of England
Come nuova. Complimenti
Thank you
I was about to say it looks like new, but a car that's been cared for by the same owner for 22 years is better than new, it now has a soul!
Thanks wesleycardinal8869, I'm in the privileged position of being able to still chat to the original owner's son and he's been amazing at helping me find out about the car, little things that he thought were not important have allowed me to document the journey the 850 has been on from before it was even built up to the present day.. Sadly for some strange reason I can't post a link to the website as Google looks upon it as spamming but if you type in 850glt.wordpress. com (without the spacing) you will be able to read all about it.
That's mint, awesome ! Cars from the 90s were some of the best ever produced
Thank you Peedarb, she's going out for a drive today and I'm looking forward to it.
i agree...that's hot...

Hey :) How many bhp do you have? :) I can't find any info regarding a SE version of the V70 II 2.5T. I see a 2.5T for sale in Poland that claims 300bhp, but the 300bhp seems to have been reserved for the R? :)
2.5TSE has 208bhp. 2.3 T5 has 250bhp. 2.4 T5 has 256bhp. Only the V70R has 300bhp
When i heard that tin can i thought you ran over a Dacia Sandero with it :)).
Wasn't a tin can , it was a piece of metal I used to prop up the phone to get the exhaust clip at the beginning and when I picked the phone up I kicked the metal out of the way 🤣
Stunning! Are parts readily available for them? I see that you're an OVLOV fan judging by your garage✌️👍😊
Thank you, yes most parts are still available direct from Volvo, there are a few items that are getting harder to find but plenty aftermarket companies to keep these old cars going for many years ahead. Yes I do like my Volvo cars
I've been looking to buy one similar. That looks really nice.
Thank you Jason, I think I lucked out with this one
I’m looking for one of these at the moment, I haven’t seen anything that clean ..what a lovely motor
Thanks Neal, it's getting hard to good low mileage ones now, just need to keep searching and something will turn up when you're not expecting it
Wow, looks like new, such low mileage. Great car!
Thank you
Bravo for Best Made Car in World, my 95 wagon have 380000 M, driving ever day loco I long distance, like a lot And looking to buy one good, under 100000 M, thanks,
Getting hard to find with less than 100,000 miles now

Sharp ride. You know the best part of the car? No stupid computer screen.
Thank you, it still has an engine management system but it's basic compared to what's produced today
True
Ah I just put two and two together, you're Jay! What a beautiful car buddy.
Thats a minter, amazing condition for age.
Thank you Matthew, It is possibly the best 850 left in the UK
@@850glt yeah, think i would agree with you. i couldn't own it as i would be to afraid to drive it!! has it been garaged?
@@matthewwiddows6319 Yes it has been garaged most of its life, the only time it wasn't was when the chap who I bought it from had it for 10 months and it was kept outside. You can read all about it and its comprehensive history on this website...850glt.wordpress.com Thanks and enjoy
Must be the sun that affects the plastics, as they look new as opposed to not worn. Have just added a p reg 855 2.5 10v gle to my fleet of 850s. Has a few scuffs but after those it will be close to yours. Its silver, but 426 silver not that smoked silver. 106k on mine, but getting converted to t5 from donor car.
@@matthewwiddows6319 Yes the sun does untold long term damage to the plastics to the extent they become brittle and break. There are lots of interior images in mt photo album in this link... flic.kr/s/aHBqjzC4Ui. I never knew they made the 850 in code 426, never seen one before, hope you enjoy it
Did you used aby other products on its? Like qd or rinsless wash?
No, it's not had anything applied in the last 2½ years. The car is only used in the summer months and always garaged.
If that's all that squeaks, your in good shape
This song is SO SAD the only thing that has pulled me back to reality, is this lovely Rover Rally.
Thank you, hope you are feeling better now
What a STUNNING shade of blue that is! What is that shade called? And is it cellulose, or what?
Hi Nygel, it's a genuine Rover colour and is Admiralty Blue. You can read about the mixture on the Specification, Technical, Data page of the website 1947rover.wordpress.com/2022/06/07/specifications-technical/
@@850glt thanks for replying - didn't realise it was ADMIRALTY BLUE. That's the colour on P5's, the favourite car of Prime Ministers at the time!
@@nygelmiller5293 Yes, a P5B colour and most had a Silver Birch roof. Best colour combo for them IMO
@@850glt the whole world does agree that the ADMIRALTY BLUE with the lighter roof certainly FOES work. But the P5 really does also look good in ALL colours too!
There is another P2 video going round described as a "patina car". That has the black paint worn through, so you see the red primer! YOUR car is the most immaculately kept car I have ever seen!
Thank you Nygel. Patina can be used to explain a multitude of things and car enthusiasts are all looking for original non restored cars therefore patina would be a good word to describe tired worn paintwork. This car was restored between 1975 and 1983, so a long time ago. The only reason it has stood the test of time is because Royce Cole who carried out the work did an exceptional job. I've posted a link in the description for the P2 website, I hope you enjoy looking through it
I’ve always wanted to do this to my Volvo 850. Do you recommend cleaning the undercarriage?
Most certainly would recommend giving it a thorough clean. It would allow you to see if there are any areas that require attention
Вообще зачем было стоять. 😃 Молодец что поехал!
These cars are absolutely awesome on the snow! With good tires probably one of the best vehicles out there.
my 1947 rover 12 was a lovely car i wish i still had it.
Impressive indeed. What model of xc90 are you driving?
2010 185 BHP diesel
Fabulous car in stunning condition! I like the blue paintwork very much. Those were the days!!! My father bought one when he was in the RAF. These rovers must be preserved at any cost, very elegant and the design is beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it
One if the best cars I've ever owned was a 1947 Rover 60. Sadly, no longer with us.
thankyou for showing the engine running and showing us the interior
