Our series brings fun, scripture-focused content for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And we do it in a very ‘Thumby’ way, hehehe.
We release a new episode or zany song following the "Come Follow Me" lessons each week. Our videos, centered around the Book of Mormon, are crafted to be fun, silly, and story-driven, perfect for engaging young minds with scriptural teachings.
Not only that, but we also offer a variety of zany songs on similar themes. Keep an eye out for them; we release them randomly. You are going to LOVE them.

I'm the oldest sibling in my family, and there was a time when I felt more like Laman and Lemuel. I struggled and was even inactive for a little while. My siblings were so much better than I was, or I thought they were, or even thought that they thought that they were better. That was when I decided to make Sam my Book of Mormon hero. Sam was Nephi's older brother, too. The difference was that he didn't care if his prophet and leader was his younger brother. He just wanted to follow him so he could follow the Lord and do what was right. He chose to have a close relationship with Nephi. He had to endure bullying along with Nephi, watch Nephi get hurt, and listen to his family fight and mourn. Yet he chose humility. He chose to believe that God wanted the best for them in leaving everything they knew behind for something better. Learning to be like him has helped me to become more like Nephi, which helps me to learn to become more like Jesus. When I pass to the other side, I know Sam and Hyrum Smith are two people I'm going to seek out so I can thank them personally for their fantastic examples to me!

We absolutely love your videos. I appreciate the engaging storylines and characters. But I was a bit disappointed that this one fell into the stereotype of calling a woman "bossy". I took some time at the end to point out to my children the gap here that we don't ever call men or boys bossy. Women frequently get called bossy instead of positive leadership words like decisive that we might call men. So to frame it as something that we don't want to be can send a problematic message for girls. Women already have far too little voice in the scriptures so I appreciate adding women stories to the scripture videos. This one just missed the mark a little bit.

Yes, we went another route. In the CFM section for this week is a portion that focuses on pride and humility. We decided to take that direction. We figured there would be plenty of other videos on the Faith/Seeds.

On a more spiritual note, I have been replaying in my head the verse at the end. Sam’s kids were counted with Nephi’s. If you think about it the “Samites” are never mentioned… perhaps they didn’t exist. This has implications for us because the righteous gentiles will be counted with Lehi’s children.
