I love synthesizers

2025 Jamuary #31 Slopes
End of Jamuary. I had planned to spend some time with Slopes which I think I has a lot more depth than I've explored. Here it's doing light, synced modulation duties on everything.

7 Channels of percussion and a chord with the 1050 MixSeq as a mixer and sequential switch.
2025 Jamuary #28 S&H for Bitcrushing
Просмотров 32День назад
Using a sample and hold for bitcrushing. Hidden in the mess of wires is a 2hp S&H clocked by a VCO. It starts by turning the VCO freq up until it's almost producing the original sine wave, then the sequencer is patched in. Later, a 2nd bitcrushed VCO is introduced and different clock divisions are cycled for clocking the S&H.
2025 Jamuary #27 VCO Clock Divider
Просмотров 29День назад
More complicated than expected. The basic patch is VCO - clock divider (Divide & Conquer) - clock divisions to filter modulation. Since the output of the clock divider is a square wave, the outputs are run through a simple A/R envelope (triad) to add some shape. The same wave is mult-ed to trigger the VCA envelopes. Pitch is on pattern - mult - S&H. The /3 and /5 outs from the clock divider tri...
2025 Jamuary #26 Percussion Workbench

More fun with workbench. This time all percussion from Krach Aus Strom and Boba Fat.
2025 Jamuary #25 Workbench

Jamuary 25: Workbench Workbench is a great tool. Here I'm using the 4 channel mixer section. LFO as master clock, and inverter out from the mult section for some modulation. This is one is weird.
2025 Jamuary #24 Digital Filter Simulator & ADDAC 106
Просмотров 2314 дней назад
The Digital Filter Simulator is an anologue simulation of a digital filter. I have weird obsession with the module, despite not using it much. My favorite sounds it produces are when running a wavetable chord module through it. In this case its Accordion (top of Data) with the range CV jacked on DFS (bottom). ADDAC 106 for percussion.

Mun & Trommelmaschine which I didn't manage to get fully in frame. Love percussion through a vocoder. Clean the lens.
2025 Jamuary 21 Is Carp Lust Wrong
Просмотров 6114 дней назад
Is Carp Lust Wrong doing its wacky thing with some encouragement from Triple Sloths. I have just discovered that Chiasso v2 is an interesting sfx machine when there is no gate plugged in and everything is modulated to the hilt (also by Sloths). The voices off camera are Achordion and Alstaden both running through Natural State.

2025 Jamuary #17 Sequencing with LFOs
Просмотров 1621 день назад
This is one of my favorite things to do that I'm often too lazy to patch. Two LFOs from Tryfelo and the smooth chaos from Influencer going through O_c's Dual Quantizer (in pentatonic minor). Gate sequencing from Chasing Lights. Voices are Honeyeater-Hans, Alstaden&Plaits-Natural State TR8S.

2025 Jamuary #08 Phasing Clocks Experiment
❤Your music has this Funky, quirky Island Dub Music quality that is very inviting to the listener. It makes me want to dance. Then you've got other Sound Works that are closer to House Music with a creative twist. Great sounds ❤, just subscribed. ~🎉
Thanks. I started life as an organ player, so a bit of reggae is inevitable. There are better live gigs for techno people, so I've been trying to fit into that world recently.
A driving Beat with an intoxicating Groove. Wonderful hypnotic Soundscape!💡🎶🥁🎛🎙👏🏽💥🌠💜🐈⬛❗️
The VCO does most of the work
This is pretty cool music ❤ 🔥
That robo voice is great!
Plaits always comes through
Sick
what a great module!
Nothing wrong in my books let carp do as they please
too much reverb for me - but sound is very interesting :) i like it !!!
So damn good for such a small package! Natural Gate is a bigboi, but seems to build on the Rabid Elephant/SSF units in a cool way. Tryfelo is capable of more interesting modulation than it seems just reading the description, too (such is the trend with these niche DIY modules!).
Great sound exploring ❤ 🔥
Sounds nice!
Good reminder that I should build a Null A2
Yeah, why not? Great patch, beautiful ending.
Those chimes/tubular bells are great
Nice jam! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year
Very nice!
Hey any joy tuning this to 1v/oct? Couldn't understand the instructions :) sonic playground all the same, subbed
I haven't tried. I think it might be the same style VCO as Kau'i, in which case it is Hz/oct.
NLC wot wot wot?
🖤
I’m having trouble understanding what it’s capable of, without cv control over feedback. If feedback is not adjusted and the inputs are stable, does it basically stay in a pattern, or does the output evolve somehow?
With the feedback down it functions as an shift register and passes the input signal unchanged from stage to stage.
@@thecrabtable3126 If the feedback is up but not being adjusted, is there movement and evolution, so to speak, or does it get into a fixed pattern?
This is a really nice patch. Love those occasional reverbed-out bursts.
What is plls doing in the patch i need more info on it. Very nice textures btw
great patch. this is 3205 or 3207 version?
The 3205. Was the only one I could find locally.
HAHA. This sounds like a elektronik version of Jimi Tenor. I love it. A bit harsh around the edges but it has character.
pretty
Hah, how are you getting two stages active at once? And what is the result? Does it sum the voltages?
Dope
Nice to see patching live
This is beautiful work. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent patch. Love it!
What is Hyperchaos modulating out here? I like that it appears to be in multiple places at once.
which one is better?
Different use cases, but I could never do without Quadrax.
Lovely!
👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
Great pairing!
Love that swinging motion
Null-A2 is a lot of fun
Nice music. How are you getting two active stages at once on the Bindubba sequencer? I thought only one step could be active at a time. I'm thinking of building one, so when I saw this I was immediately curious.
I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the build, but it looks interesting so I left it alone. Most of the time the Seq outputs put out the same voltage.
hello and thx:-)
🤝
❤
if i was starting a modular today it'd be all NLC
Someone recently was trying to tell me that NLC modules are not suitable for making music. I maintain the multiply possibilities.
@@thecrabtable3126 people probably say that about modular synths in general....
idk why but i like your videos or listening alot
🙏🏾
How do you do this? Please teach me.
Cool vibes!
This is amazing! How do you like the Sum?!
Sum 2 is great, the 2 aux sends are invaluable. I have both Sum 2 and the Stereo Sum Mixer with 5 mono and two stereo channels. The big difference between the two is that Sum 2's aux sends are mono out and stereo returns, Stereo Sum's aux's are stereo out/return. You can lose some stereo imaging when effects are heavy with Sum 2. I use it in my performance setup where that doesn't matter too much.
which bords or equipments you use?
Are you able to coerce much in the way of physical modeling type sounds out of Carp Lust like you can with MI Rings or Elements? I guess theoretically any oscillator with the right filter/env combo could do that, but is it geared towards those sounds? Either way, thanks as always for the patch inspiration!
The build guide mentions that "it's not a a press-a-button-and-sound-cool module, it takes tweaking." Which is true. I haven't used rings or elements, so I can't compare. With this module I'm getting the best sounds when multing the gate so that it triggers the internal envelope and another envelope that modulates the feedback setting on Carp. I'm finding slow bowed and blown type sounds are the easiest to dial in so far.
@@thecrabtable3126 Ok that makes sense. May have to get a panel/PCB set soon :)
Gorgeous brain-vibrating tonality on those bells/tines. 🫨
