Stargate Animatronic Horus Helmet Build
Просмотров 35 тыс.11 лет назад
This is a slideshow of the build process for my Horus Guard helmet from the movie and TV series STARGATE. The helmet is 100% made by me using everyday items. The model was created from a paper model making process called PEPAKURA. The files are available free online. There is another video which inspired me to create this helmet by a guy named HONUS67. His video here. ruclips.net/video/_idnua6B...

Everything in yellow is an aircraft............ It is a 24-hour observation of all of the large aircraft flights in the world, condensed down to about 2 minutes. From space, we look like a beehive of activity. You could tell it was summer time in the north by the sun's footprint over the planet. You could see that it didn't quite set in the extreme north and it didn't quite rise in the extreme ...

      zorgfleeter yes you are correct. There is a small slit to see out of with a thin black fabric backing to hide your eyes.

    Please, what are the controls, I doubt that you went with a controller in your hands

    • @Phantom5017
      @Phantom5017 8 лет назад

      Actually that is exactly what I used. I have an Arduino circuit board in the helmet programed to accept inputs from a PS2 joystick that I hold in my hand. So when I move the joystick right the head of the mask goes right and when I release tension on the joystick it re-centers itself. I hope this helped.

      I actually got them from a great site called the Replica Prop Forum www.therpf.com if you do a search for foam pep Stargate it should show up. It was in a post where the creators offer multiple free pep files to members for download. I hope this helps

    Thanks. I used a very sophisticated scribing too... a ball point pen! haha! :) I just took my time and tried to make all the lines as accurate as possible. I used a pencil to lightly mark where I was going to scribe also. With a little pressure the lines appear permanently in the foam sheets I used. Did you pay for your PEP files? Because I know there are free ones floating around the interwebs... Mine were free

    Just behind the bottom of the bird head is a cut out section that allows me to see out. I have cloth over the hole so you cant see in but I can see out. The staff was from a local sci-fi fan group who let me use it for the convention. Its molded off the tv show used original.
