All of these are excellent recommendations. Next Fest is fascinating for sure.

Unsure if it was a next fest demo, but Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus hit for me. Had that hand drawn metroidvania style, but closer in line to Okami than Hollow Knight. The small slice the demo gave has me almost feeling a day 1 purchase.
