Torque spec? Edit: 2015 wrx sti power steering pump specs, 11ft lbs under the pulley (torx/mount), 28ft lbs for pully hold down bolt, pressure switch 26ft lbs, and back long bolt 35.4 ft lbs.

Caliper slide pins snapped

I had customers bring in their cars all the time to the shop, sometimes they had been so careless and incompetent they’d broke the noise maker off and let the brake pad backing plate wear through one side of the rotor - so after the pad and pad backing you have a thin piece of metal from the pad then the piston of the caliper they’d wear into the rotor, completely hyperextended caliper. That’s a half rotor special 😂 I’d seen a smart car, lady was whacko crazy and I made her tow it out, l/r rotor was nonexistent just the part where the pads make contact, she refused doing brakes so many times. Driving around with a rotor ring, batshit coo-coo but hey, some people have 0 priorities and would rather risk not only themselves on the road but everybody else on the road.

one of your brake pads fell off probably due to it being installed incorrectly and it caused the piston to overextend itself and make contact with the rotor causing friction and high heat

you may have to replace caliper brake pads rotors brake caliper bracket guide pins

Customer hears squeak, customer ignores and keeps driving, squeak turns to grinding, customer takes to shop, shop says uhoh. 😂💀

caliper won't go back in the back rides on rotor and grinds itself to nothing
