Thanks so much for this - so in the last week I’ve been less careful with it BUT it still is fine!! Like you say a quick wipe with the supplied cloth and it’s fine. My previous iPads with the standard display would get little scratches so quick whereas as this has been fine so far

first off thank you so much for watching and for your question! So this is my personal experience - so far the screen is holding up well. The colour and contrast remains constant no matter what and it’s a big bonus when using it in bright light, especially direct sunlight light which makes the standard screen unusable, whereas this nano texture means I don’t worry about the environment anymore. I’m very happy so far!

Of course, presume you were disagreeing with him more than me! to people that tend to heat up quite quickly lighter colours are always going to be better to reflect heat

Thank you so much I'm glad it was helpful. Check out some of my other videos / shorts where I talk about the durability. The nano screen looks fine after a month. It sounds like you look after your devices :) As for which display it depends on your use case. If you use the iPad mainly indoors and don't move around so much, maybe reflections aren't an issue for you so standard will be fine. For me I use mine out doors and under bright lights a lot so nano texture has been amazing. Durability I believe would be the same for both.

Thanks "Nutty" - you'll get there eventually! Start with simple. Dark plain with a medium temp contrast on the trouser. Think Hollywood Prep style from the 60s :)

Thank you SO much for subscribing, and for your feedback I really appreciate you! Still very new and trying to make the videos better as time progresses. I’m not sure what that guy is doing but I only touch it with my finger to open things or pinch to zoom etc - you know, gestures. I don’t draw with my finger on it. The surface doesn’t feel rough… the problem out there is that people say things for views and clicks as well so it’s hard to separate truth. I’m going to collate all the questions I’ve been asked so far and answer every single one in a long video or shorts… what do you think? On a separate note 4 weeks later I still have no regrets!

@@TailoringTalk You're very welcome, my pleasure. As far as answering peoples questions in a short or a regular video all depends on how many questions people ask. If there's enough questions do both and keep the short with the most popular questions. I have a few questions myself like How does the video editing differ from say the MacBook Air? Like what features are missing? I also would like know how the nano texture looks like at night with all the lights out (nobody has told us or shown it like this). Many people watch their media at night. If you could, I'd love to see a video showing it play videos in different lighting (like 10 clips in a compilation). What I mean is like outdoors on a sunny day then another in overcast, and maybe sundown. And of course indoors where reflections would normally be problematic. So you don't get copystriked here, use something without a copyright (such as a 4k colorful visual demo). Sorry I'm on a rant 😃

Hey Zero great question! I have the Magic Keyboard and also the Smart Folio for when I don’t want to carry it around with the keyboard. I don’t have a screen protector. After nearly three weeks no screen damage. I wouldn’t want to put a screen protector over the nano texture screen. I recorded a Short available now which shows you my screen after two weeks which might help. I’m slightly more careful with this iPad - very mindful of treating it with respect rather than tossing it around or shoving it in my bag carelessly!

So far no scratches all seems pretty durable. My philosophy is if I’ve spent THAT MUCH money on something then I need to look after it… I’ll report back on durability soon with a short vid?

I can’t speak for using a matte screen protector but I’ve been very happy nearly three weeks later with my choice, the nano texture feels much nicer to use with the new Pencil. My previous iPad I used to use a paper like protector and so glad I don’t need that anymore! Hope that helps. Happy to discuss more if needed!

@robertorevillalondon thank you for replying. When using the nano , does the pen glide feel more like your writing on a glossy screen or matte screen. I only ask because using the pen on a glossy screen felt very slippery

It’s hard to describe. It doesn’t feel like paper but it’s more tactile… like the standard display you know how that is, like running the pencil over glass, this isn’t like that so much. Writing on it has been so nice…

Could you get to an Apple Store and try them both out?

I think it’s an EU environment regulations thing that Apple have to adhere to here in the uk as well

Hi Harvey - it depends. You’ll still get ray tracing etc but if you suffer from reflections which can be distracting when gaming then I’d go for Nano Texture glass. If reflections aren’t an issue for the environments you use your iPad in then save the 100 bucks and go for standard glass

Depends on the conditions you use it in but the blacks look black for most of the time I have been using it so far.

Hi Suli! Does it have to be an iPad or would you be better with a MacBook Air? Using an external mouse and keyboard with the iPad isn’t as straight forward as with a MacBook but it’s possible. You’d definitely the Pro for the thunderbolt port to use the display… depending on use case it could also be worth considering getting the M2 iPad Pro as Amazon etc will have deals so you can save some extra money ! Hope that helps

PS I would get the iPad first and see how you get on. Personally I would forget the monitor and use the monitor money to get the 13” iPad 😊

@@TailoringTalk i have a random question. i've always put screen protectors on ipad screens, people online are mentioning its not recommended for the nano-texture glass (?). I'm worried about glass breaking with a drop, scratches from general use. what do you recommend, is there any screen protectors i could put on the nano texture glass

I’ve only had an hour to play around so haven’t tested properly yet but I wouldn’t want to put a screen protector on this - the nano glass display is gorgeous and I went for the Smart Keyboard Folio to protect it when I’m not wanting to carry it around with the Magic Keyboard case. I used to use a paperlike protector on my M1 Pro but this feel much better to use with the Apple Pencil too in case you were wondering.

Is this on shirts that were made for you, or ready made? Regardless there’s no physical alteration that would help. You could move the top button over a little so when fastened it would be tighter. The next time you buy shirts get your neck measured to ensure you get the correct size. Hope this helps but if I misunderstood the question let me know !

@@TailoringTalk thank you ,the shirt was already made and i bought the shirt i got because i wanted to the sleeves to stick out when wearing my suit ,so i dont know if i should a shirt that fits my neck regardless of if the sleeves stick out or not

This is the problem with ready made shirts - it sounds like if you go for a smaller collar size the sleeves will be shorter. You have to choose the lesser of the two evils for you. I always think it’s better for the collar to fit. A loose collar makes a guy look shabby. It does sound like you’d benefit from a made to measure service!
