Damage value will make turbo fail as well. That is the tool how to check if VGT / VNT turbo control valve is still ok to work.

Can you tell me about the Borg Warner K03 Turbo? KIA uses it on their 1.6L Turbo Smart Stream Engine? 1) Max boost pressure 2) Can it be made to produce more boost than what's used in the KIA engine I mentioned? 3. Is it a TWIN SCROLL TURBO? I guess any and all specs on it. I tried to get info from Borg Warner's site, but very difficult to navigate their site. Thanks & much appreciated!

Not sure if it is universal, but it's 4.65PSI for the 2011 to 2014 3.5L Ford F-150 (uses 2 k03)

When no vacuum, will the turbo vanes be open by default, so no boost?
exactly. no vacuum means flapper is in open position = no boost.
