Curious, but will there be a summary about the enormous uproar from dozens of Mann and Whittier parents regarding the district not maintaining small classroom sizes, as promised (particularly during the last request / vote for increasing your budget)? We'd love an answer on this, too, please. (Hire a new third-grade teacher for Mann and a new fifth-grade teacher for Whittier, please). Classrooms in the high 20s are just too large; diminish opportunities for better learning, building relationships between students and the teachers, and maintaining student safety (a district concern); and is not consistent with D97's promises and values. Thank you very much.

A great community not only provides what is required of them, but it also delivers services that set them apart from the rest. It’s a mistake to get rid of bus service. It brings us back towards average, and we are better than that.
