Found this song through La Honda when it released… at the time I was in a relationship. First listen I immediately thought of her. She even has a tattoo on her forearm and was from a farm town down the road from my suburban town. Only difference was she vaped instead of smoked however she smoked weed occasionally… lol. 6 weeks after breaking up and countless more listens, each time I think of her and her situation. 20 years old and working dead end part time jobs living in her dads houses basement with 7 other people and 1.5 bathrooms. With no foreseeable motivation or future. Unable to escape that reality of dependency, drinking, smoking, and poverty that ultimately drove us apart. Instead of putting the hours in and working full time to get those dreams, she decided to turn back to her ways… Don’t know who reads this but here’s to god’s timing and sense of humor. Cheers
