Thank you Brad for this video. I was born in Oshkosh. Graduated from West High 1982 and moved away with family in 1983. I love seeing things from back home. I made a trip up this summer of 2017 for a reunion. I was at South Park and saw they had cut down a bunch of trees and were doing something different there. Can you post an update video please?

Thank you so much for this. I left Oshkosh in Aug. 1961 to study in Milwaukee. My big brother & I used to get a small amount of fresh liver from a butcher shop on South Park Av. just south of Iowa St. then head off to the park's lagoons with out 'fishing sticks' & safety pins on a string to catch crabs. More career choices/changes and 3 more state locations have transpired, but looking at your video made it seem like yesterday. <3

WHY The HELL did they DEMOLISH IT for?!?! Some of my fondest memories were driving through two rivers on my way to door county and seeing the smokestack in the background when I was a kid. My parents drove to door county from Chicago every fall and always passed through two rivers as the halfway point.

I was surprised when it came down, we were on the bridge and we didn't hear anything but then we just saw it start to fall.

I do think that this was a big mistake as a big part of their history just went away. This could have been incorporated into their future plans for this area!

I was shocked how quiet it was! I was expecting a loud explosion! I was there too watching it from close to the 22nd street bridge.

If this video was taken close to the posting date, then I don't understand how the owl expects to stay hidden with the snow gone. Its camouflage makes it stick out now.
