As someone who played the games from 1 to 12, I can easily tell that FF4 is my personal goat. The best thing about these games is that everyone of us feels a connection with one of them, and in my experience the 4th chapter is the only one that I keep playing from time to time, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

I loved FF6 A TON, and I also liked FF10 (Despite all the Tidus memes floating out there). But am I the only one out here who liked FF2's story?

Fully agree with 8 being just "alright" and that it gets lumped in with the golden age of the franchise simply because it came out smack in the middle of the epic 6-10 run. 6, 7, 9, and 10 are all masterpieces. 8 is the awkward middle child that while not a bad game per se, just pales in comparison.

Ff13 was my first ff, and I know it's a really long hallway but... I think it's not bad story and combat wise.

I don't understand the ignorance for FFXII... It's ahead of it's time, one of the few games that actually have a living world, actually the most lively one in all FF, forget about cities, try going inside a random shop it really feels like an authentic bazaar with all the decorations and the people not just standing there but actually browsing the stores, or go inside a tavern people there actually talk and interact, and they even have things for you, the gameplay in it is so good and gives you so much freedom and it inspired a lot of other FF games including FFXVI and even non FF games with the gambit, hell there's even that bounty system that was introduced for the very first time in FFXII, people may not realise, but this game layed the foundation for generations of RPG and JRPG games to come, the story is very interesting, not the best story, but it's unique and always makes you wonder where it will take you, and the exploration in this game is top-notch, guys stop thinking in some sort of hive mind and try things for yourselves, this game among the best of the best and most people who criticize it will say it's because the story got plot holes, those people are hypocrites and only say that so they can rank it lower in order to not offend the generic FF fans who are either too nostalgic or too narrow minded to actually try and judge for themselves.

15 and 10 are the best ones and its not even close

Are they continue the same story, or every game is different? Never played them and have no idea where to start. Like 7 remake and rebirth seem to have modern/future setting and 15 is some medieval fantasy. Confusing af 😵
