POV Snowboarding: TREES, CHUTES and the best RUN ever [Perisher]
Day 4 of 9 - WE'RE SNOWBOARDING AT PERISHER - we jammed ALOT into this first day as the weather was AMAZING, and not so good towards the end of the week.
In this snowboard vlog, we explore our first day at Perisher! We go through some trees, attempt a steep snake run, and I believe - one of the best runs EVER this whole trip. Add in a little terrain park at the end.!

We FINALLY have some friends boarding with us, OTHER than Rich and I. Nancy and Chris join on a Friday, for our 1st day out of the 9! Why 9? We're going to Perisher in 2 days time.. In regards to health, diet first then exercise. I found I started to play more sport when I ate better. Exercise alone is not enough by a long way.

@@Laniyah_plays_football I thought he had his hand out for a fist bump HAHA but he actually didn’t. It wasn’t aggressive, buts it’s an in joke between snowboarders and skiers that we really hate each other 😂 At least I don’t think we do.. 🤔

What do you use to track the speed?
I used the GoPro Quik app to add the speed tracker. It uses the GPS data in the file!
We went from the 8th -12th of aug and that part at the start of the videos was covered in snow, we got pretty lucky and got a lot of snow fall the week before we went. Love falls creek, it’s especially great for us snowborders!
Yass happy for you that you got snow!! We also went a couple of days then and have to say the conditions did get better
We went last week (18 Aug.) The base was bare, the same as in your clip. The top was soft but not icy. It was the best condition to introduce my beginner skier friends to mogul XD
Soft is just perfect for learning! Haha straight to moguls how daring! It seems like there was literally only 1 month window with the whole base being covered this season :(
@@HodizWasHere last year was bad, but at least the season spread out quite a bit. This year though it started so late and now not even end of August the condition is so bad. I remember first year I ski in 2012 at the end of September I could still do top to bottom at Thredbo with just a little bit of chocolate Run at the bottom, and snowmaking wasn’t as good as today.
@@HodizWasHere I did not take them to the mogul on purpose. Looking from the lift that side look very flat and smooth around the back of that hill. Turned out there was no Run behind that hill, and that smooth run out. I saw was just an illusion. Their choices were either to walk back up to the other side of the lift for about 50 m Or just brave up and head down over the moguls. Since it was soft I thought they could do it so I gave them a little bit of “encouragement“ 🤣

The entrance was at the top of 7th Heaven Express! It's the only uphill hiking route - find the sign when you unload from the lift. I don't actually know the 'name' of it
