Also, you need to complete the main quests of Deliver the Amulet, saving Martin, closing the Oblivion Gate at Kvatch, and Cloud Ruler Temple too. I did it before these quests and the guards stopped me to state that I broke the law.

neat idea, but according to the uesp they're fixed at lvl 2 with 10 health each. don't see how they are useful beyond maybe the earliest encounters, like with the guy in the fortress for the leyawiin mage guild quest.

Note: If you haven't been in the dark brotherhood living quarters, the chests have somewhat random loot. I recommend saving it beforehand, and when you go into a specific chest, you can find a ring. Keep reloading until you get ring of the iron fist. If anyone knows another location like this please let me know

Hey again. First of all, I really enjoyed the series and playing along myself. Each video was laid out in a great format that didn't waste any time at all fluffing about, dying, getting lost etc etc. Made it very easy to watch I do have a question though, which is a bit broad sorry; I'd love to make a pure mage build for max difficulty (I can't go back to normal difficulty now lol). I was going to go Altmer + Apprentice to get a boatload of Magicka and regen and enchant all of my clothing and jewellery with +50 Magicka Sigil Stones. But thinking about it now, having to cast an extremely expensive 100% reflect magic spell so I don't get one-shotted from a spell sounds like a pain in the arse honestly. And I really don't want to cut in on my total magicka by wearing enchanted items with spell absorption/reflect :( Would be happy to hear any supporting argument you might have for this race and class though! Perhaps there's something I'm not considering... So I'm thinking Breton + Mage might be a better option for less headaches. I can live without the 100 extra magicka. It would be the same setup, so just all clothing and jewellery having +50 Magicka. I won't be using Mundane Ring/Amulet of Axes/Ring of Iron Fist & Shield of Eschuchuchuch or whatever the hell it's called from Chorrol as, in my opinion, it just makes the game too boring. My main question is, what would you recommend for some good OP custom spells? Me being lazy, I just looked at the wiki for a main damaging spell. So I was going to go; AA - Prepare ~ Paralyze 1 Second on Touch, 100% Weakness to Fire for 3 Seconds on Touch, 100% Weakness to Magicka for 3 Seconds on Touch. Then... AA - Finisher ~ Fire Damage 10 Damage for 10 Seconds on Touch. Just spam Prepare 3 or 4 times (it stacks and does not require a 2nd spell with a different name to switch between, unlike what the wiki states) and then hit with the finisher. Also a Shield Spell. Something like Shield 70%, Fire Shield 5%, Frost Shield 5%, Shock Shield 5% for 30 seconds on self. Any advice for a pure mage would be much appreciated!

Just to let you know that I've been following along with great success! Just managed to nab myself a Necklace of Swords and a Ring of the Iron Fist from the 2 locations shown in your video. Took about 5 minutes of quick loads for each, so not too bad. The damn ghost followed out of the ship! But thankfully, the residents of Anvil are no push overs, so I had about 6 locals come over and help me out 😂. No one died, so that was a win

I know that you used the trainers for your magic skills to avoid having to grind them too much, perhaps to keep the viewing experience enjoyable. But I'm just wondering, what skill(s) do you think is worth using a trainer for as it's simply a pain in the arse to level up? Light Armor for example... I'm going to attempt a run on the highest difficulty, and will grind my magic skills, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to use a trainer for the skills that aren't so easy to level up... Thanks!

Would've been tempting to pay a trainer between each level for Athletics instead, so that your speed would be even more ridiculous. Though I understand why you would choose magic skills to save time needing to grind them

Excellent guide! Makes me want to attempt a highest difficulty run of Oblivion now 🙂 A couple of questions, if you don't mind. Do you remember what your early game strategy was? Did you do any grinding of skills in the early game? I'd also he interested in knowing what 7 Major Skills you chose and whether you bothered with the whole efficient levelling thing (I'm hoping to avoid it, but I'll do it if necessary for this difficulty). Thanks Edit: Nevermind. I'll just watch your Redguard series which will answer all of these for me, no doubt

I’m scared to breathe in these games because one wrong move can wipe an entire questline in a matter of seconds, so you’ll never catch me entering a building before I’m explicitly told to do so. And even then, I’ll check the UESP for that cell and _all_ the links within it for notes and bugs before entering.

I would be impressed if I saw a fighter's guild porter take on that many guards and win. Try going into random houses and punching people and luring them out into public it's amazing how big fights can get.

I know this is an old video, but I’ve tried reloading from the door probably a hundred times and I’ve made 7 new characters and have followed the same tedious process (different from this video because the RNG made it take an extra 30 minutes) just for this naked dude to not be there each and every time. I’ve tried looking it up and everybody on the two forums I’ve found talking about this just says “80% chance of spawning” and it seems like nobody knows whether or not that’s from reloading at the entrance or from a new game somehow??? Which doesn’t make sense because, if you know the percentage, you should know whether or not you have to make a new character. It’s very frustrating when a new build idea is based on nothing but RNG and nobody knows how said RNG works. Maybe it works different on Xbox. Idk lol. I’m done trying for today, it’s been three hours, maybe tomorrow the stars will align. Good guide btw, wouldn’t have known about this naked guy if I hadn’t seen it (which actually might’ve been a good thing for the sake of my sanity lmao).
