It works! I used a small spray bottle to get alcohol all the way behind the caulk
@@mongeswanson5587 I didn’t have a spray bottle on hand. I need to get one, and a shop vac. Cotton balls where the best thing I had on hand and it helped get up some of those tiny pieces. Thanks for your comment!!
Helpful vid! The thing about older homes - and the McMansions they build now - is the corners are probably not exactly 90°. Use an angle gauge to measure, then transfer that to your miter saw and use your "go a little wider" trick to give yourself some wiggle room and still get a good looking result.

Use the first caulk if you can. I don’t have a Lowe’s near me, so I couldn’t get it. So I went with the next best option. Frog tape yellow or green, has a substance on the edges that will seal the tape to the wall when moistened, eliminates the need for caulk.

Not a good idea to use a wet paper towel! What breaks down caulk " water" just use your wet finger. The difference is your finger isn't dripping wet

@Howdoesshedothatstacy don't use tape. I'm a painter of 25 years, as long as there no line when you wipe the caulk you won't see it when painted
