To be honest Vegeta is mainly to blame for this due to the fact that he could've killed Semi-Perfect Cell anytime he wanted. Krillen may have been idiotic for stepping on the control, but even Bulma wasn't sure if it'd work or not. Some people are criticizing Goku for giving Perfect Cell a Sensu Bean, but it was stated that Cell was holding back during that time. Oh & considering how smart he is it's likely he would have found out about them anyway. Goku didn't think the whole thing through, but it was agreed that it was either Gohan defeated Cell or no one did. The mistake Goku made was not telling him ahead of time. If he had it's likely Gohan would've been prepared to fight Cell ahead of time & 16 probably would've still been alive. Gohan should've finished Cell off when he had the chance.

Encountered Dragonball Z only in 2001 by accidentally changing the tv channel, and this match of Vegeta and semi-perfect Cell was the first episode I watched and since then I got hooked. Then when they lost after Cell became perfect, Goku appeared, me seeing him for the first time, I sensed that Goku was the man, the real hero of the show, he had that aura, the image of the group's champion. Thank you for this video, it's so nostalgic.
