Raising Trusses
My building is smaller than this one, 20' x24' and just 9' tall at the eves. I have only 5 trusses and the ones at each end have no cross-bracing so are much lighter.

    Just because a bolt has a 10mm hex head on it doesn't make it a 10mm bolt. Same with 8mm.

    How do you cool a seat without perforated leather covers like Cadillac used to do doesn’t seem to efficient typical cheap GM quality using sticky tape and plastic clips to hold seat components together I have a 14 Silverado and I feel cheated at least Toyota still uses metal rods and “hog” rings in their seats

    I know this is an old video, but part#23223774 is the seat cooler, not the heater and you replaced the cooler not the heater in the video.

    • @f6pilot7
      @f6pilot7 3 года назад

      No, you are mistaken. Look up the URL at the beginning of the video. It says "Seat Heater." If you are just doing a search for that part number, some sites do call it a cooler, but it is not. Besides, I know what I replaced.

    • @f6pilot7
      @f6pilot7 3 года назад

      The part number shown at the beginning of the video is for the seat bottom ONLY. Go to gmpartsgiant.com and search for part 22878865. That is for a seat back, BUT be sure to check the fitment to insure it is the right part for your particular truck. I have not replaced a back element, so I can not speak to whether this is the correct part or not.

    Just wanted to give you kudos on an amazingly informative video. My 15 Silverado has the same issue and I think that I will eventually tackle the same project myself rather than paying the dealership to overprice me for doing the same thing. Videos like yours is what makes the RUclips community so great and are such a wealth of information for DIY people out there.

    Thank you for this video! In my experience, finding I have a problem is much more overwhelming than actually fixing it. For 30 years now, I've done nearly all of my own repairs. I started out with a Fiero. Learned a lot on that one! The only thing I didn't do myself was replace the transmission. But if I'd had the necessary equipment, I might have.

    Once you cleaned it and put everything back together, were there any codes or check engine lights that came on? Did the computer have to re-learn anything? Usually they recommend not touching or moving the butterfly with your hands on any of these newer throttle body units.

      @f6pilot7 Год назад

      No codes or engine lights. Everything was good.

  • @CharNunya
    @CharNunya 6 лет назад

    I highly advise not spraying directly into the throttle body because of the electrical module. The spray is so atomized it has the tendency to work it’s way into the housing for the potentiometer. What we do at the shop is spray it onto a microfiber rag and wipe around where the throttle plate rests at idle. If your hand is too big use a pipe cleaner wrapped in the microfiber. The service your referring to also included the induction system. The Jukes are Direct Injected with Gasoline (that’s what the DIG stands for on your engine cover). With all direct injected cars the valves don’t get cleaned by the gasoline spraying over them. The injectors are mounted to spray directly into the combustion chamber. In addition because the Juke is turbocharged and it’s equipped with Eco-Drive (Eco-Drive basically means it recirculates the Exhuast waste) the valves get hit with oil and “dirty” air each combustion cycle. Some earlier model year Jukes have a sprung hose clamp with an 8mm head if I recall correctly. These clamps have a very specific torque that I can’t remember. The torque is relatively low and is there because if under torqued it can allow unmetered air in and if over torqued the throttle body housing won’t have room to expand.
