Raising Trusses
My building is smaller than this one, 20' x24' and just 9' tall at the eves. I have only 5 trusses and the ones at each end have no cross-bracing so are much lighter.

2015 Nissan Juke Throttle Body Cleaning

Dealer wanted $305.00 to do this 15 minute, $7.00 job!
Just because a bolt has a 10mm hex head on it doesn't make it a 10mm bolt. Same with 8mm.
Black carbon always fills my Juke. Is it due to TPS and increased gasoline consumption?
Very nicely done. Very informative.
This was a great help on my 2016 chevrolet tahoe only a couple minor differences with the trim for the seat base and belt but everything was the same.
Cool. I'm glad it helped you out.
Great video! The best video I've seen on changing out the heater elements. Thanks!
I'm glad it helped!
Thank you sir for making this video.
You're welcome!
Thank you for the video! I was able to use it to replace my heating element as well. You have more patience than I for sure, holding the camera will pulling some of those clips :)
Hi what sensor is that being removed from intake pipe? mass flow air sensor or throttle position sensor?
P2018 code being thrown on my 2015 awd sv. I'd like to know if that is upper throttle position sensor, that is what code points to. If you find out, give me a heads up if you can! Thx.
I had the power cable break on the vibrator for the drivers side park assist and my heated seat stopped working awhile ago. I went ahead and replaced both, your video was very helpful.
Thank you. I'm glad to hear it helped.
Ebay $27.99 for the pair
Thank you very much for posting this. VERY informative
Cool. I hope it helps out. 👍
The Stealer wanted 305 Dollars!! They must use some special Throttle body cleaning stuff plus alot of labour costs.. 😂😂😂 👍
So I have the same issue but Both heated don't work But yet the cooling only seems to work on the back
I’m wondering if the engine is turbo? I’m told never try that on my Juke’s Turbo charger!
Is that yellow connection point the only electric connection? My heaters don’t work at all…. I’m thinking it’s gotta be the module underneath the driver seat, there’s no way that all four elements went out.
No codes after that sir?
No codes
Great video. The upper part on my drivers side seat doesn't work but the lower one does. Watching your video will help me to replace my upper element. Thanks again!
😎👍Good luck!
For not having a cameraman, you did a fantastic job! Thanks!
Thank you! Hope you find it helpful.
Yeah, I could see completely Fkn this up lol. Thxs for the video.
How do you cool a seat without perforated leather covers like Cadillac used to do doesn’t seem to efficient typical cheap GM quality using sticky tape and plastic clips to hold seat components together I have a 14 Silverado and I feel cheated at least Toyota still uses metal rods and “hog” rings in their seats
Thanks for the info... now the kicker... evidently they changed something in 15 and there's a 1st and 2nd design mat so like stated check part and vin. Going to tackle the mat and the dang lane departure motor next week..
I have a 2004 GMC Envoy and only see one button to adjust it, not two. With all the features it has you would think there was a way to release the head restraint. The manual is no help, either. Maybe, I am missing something? Thanks, though, and appreciate the info!
Thank you! A huge help!!
Cool! Glad it was useful.
Thank you! MAF sensor improved idle and this sealed the deal.
Glad it helped!
Was the car showing a check engine light ? Thanks
Great job.. now get the vacuum in there.
I know this is an old video, but part#23223774 is the seat cooler, not the heater and you replaced the cooler not the heater in the video.
No, you are mistaken. Look up the URL at the beginning of the video. It says "Seat Heater." If you are just doing a search for that part number, some sites do call it a cooler, but it is not. Besides, I know what I replaced.
do i need to take out the negative car battery cable? i install a new air flow sensor to my 2011 Nissan Juke but it still has the engine light. i got it for $130 in AutoZone.
I did not remove the battery's negative cable.
I does this heatin element work for the back to or is a there one for the back ? My back heat isn’t working but my butt heat is still working ?
The part number shown at the beginning of the video is for the seat bottom ONLY. Go to gmpartsgiant.com and search for part 22878865. That is for a seat back, BUT be sure to check the fitment to insure it is the right part for your particular truck. I have not replaced a back element, so I can not speak to whether this is the correct part or not.
Thanks
1.6 dig-t engine?
Yes
Hey brother amazing job dealership wanted to charge me $1500 to replace both top and bottom heater elemets amd replace the foam on the seats they said " oh ya we have to replace the WHOLE SEAT CUSHION" parts labor out the door was going to be close to $1500 for EVERYTHING thanks again now i have an idea of how to do it guess i will find out how to do the back heater elenents when i get the parts in and ready to install
Hey, Look on youtube, there are guys that make aftermarket higher density foam cushions, and they show how to do everything to replace on your own
$1500, that's crazy! Good luck with the backs.
Thank you for this step by step. Just replaced my seat heater in my 2015 Sierra today!
I'm kinda late, but glad to hear it helped you.
Is that a heating and cooling pad?
Yes.
Thank you! Perfect amount of detail and tips. Helped me replace the elements in my 14.
Late on my reply, but glad it helped!
There's a vinyl siding tool that would be perfect to remove the seat cover tabs.
Yea it's a zipper tool. I got one. Handy thing. I'll definitely use it when fixing my acadia seat warmer.
Just wanted to give you kudos on an amazingly informative video. My 15 Silverado has the same issue and I think that I will eventually tackle the same project myself rather than paying the dealership to overprice me for doing the same thing. Videos like yours is what makes the RUclips community so great and are such a wealth of information for DIY people out there.
Thank you very much. I agree, I have found many solutions to projects I needed to tackle on RUclips. We are fortunate to live in a time where we can easily fine someone who has done something before us and show us how. Hope my video helps you out.
Thank you for this video! In my experience, finding I have a problem is much more overwhelming than actually fixing it. For 30 years now, I've done nearly all of my own repairs. I started out with a Fiero. Learned a lot on that one! The only thing I didn't do myself was replace the transmission. But if I'd had the necessary equipment, I might have.
Wow, this is an awesome video, was going to pay the stealor the $300+ to fix now I think I will tackle myself. Thanks a ton.
Thanks. I'm glad it helps out!
Well I tackled the project and even replaced the bad hepatic motor while I was in there using another video on RUclips. All went exactly as you showed in your video and all worked perfectly, thanks again probably saved $500 fixing both myself. 👍👍 Excellent video.
@@adrianyo1435 Cool! I'm glad it worked out for you.
Good job thanks.
Thank you!
Is it a Hr16de motor? I have a nissan micra 1.6
1.6 DIG Turbo
Thx for the video.
Yes sir.
Once you cleaned it and put everything back together, were there any codes or check engine lights that came on? Did the computer have to re-learn anything? Usually they recommend not touching or moving the butterfly with your hands on any of these newer throttle body units.
No codes or engine lights. Everything was good.
I highly advise not spraying directly into the throttle body because of the electrical module. The spray is so atomized it has the tendency to work it’s way into the housing for the potentiometer. What we do at the shop is spray it onto a microfiber rag and wipe around where the throttle plate rests at idle. If your hand is too big use a pipe cleaner wrapped in the microfiber. The service your referring to also included the induction system. The Jukes are Direct Injected with Gasoline (that’s what the DIG stands for on your engine cover). With all direct injected cars the valves don’t get cleaned by the gasoline spraying over them. The injectors are mounted to spray directly into the combustion chamber. In addition because the Juke is turbocharged and it’s equipped with Eco-Drive (Eco-Drive basically means it recirculates the Exhuast waste) the valves get hit with oil and “dirty” air each combustion cycle. Some earlier model year Jukes have a sprung hose clamp with an 8mm head if I recall correctly. These clamps have a very specific torque that I can’t remember. The torque is relatively low and is there because if under torqued it can allow unmetered air in and if over torqued the throttle body housing won’t have room to expand.
thanks for the tips
Smart! Thank you for your knowledge and expertise on this subject - we are keeping this vehicle until the wheels fall off ......
I will remember that next time. Thanks!
Hopefully the dealer was trying to sell you a Induction service for $305 and not a just TB serve. cause that would be a huge rip off. Nice video and this will definitely save people some money to do it themselves.
Thanks.
