Great play tk for uploading 👏 ❤🎉😊
Beautiful pauline quirke always brilliant 👏 ❤🎉😊
Thank you so much for uploading this. You wouldn't happen to know where I could find any more of the Summer Seasons? I've been looking for Radio Pictures but so far nothing
6:37 "I've been here for nearly 10 minutes". Flipping hell, people would love to be kept waiting for 10 minutes in an NHS hospital A&E: these days it's 12 hours if you're lucky. Actually in the 1970s it was longer than 10 minutes: it was usually 1 to 3 hrs. I know, because when we were in A&E then, my mum used to complain!
Wow that was hard to watch but really good.
Thank you, it was nice seeing Clive Swift there in an earlier role.
Got this on DVD somewhere...classic😄

Thank you for uploading this. Hannah Gordon was phenomenal.
un film qui fait du bien
America’s worst nightmare, for real💯
One of the most memorable of the entire Play For Today series
"Thick as a chapel town butty !"😂
In the 70s Theatre was for all thanks to BBC
I am 58 and have the fondest memories of BBC plays on our TV. We were so fortunate to witness writing and acting talent of our shores without having to pay for theatre in a time where nobody had the resources to theatre. How lucky we were !!!! But didn't know it! Working class kids with tv funneling exceptional content our way .
Nula Conwell (Viv Martella from Sun Hill)
Sax is overrated. Self serve and move on😂
This is one of my favourite audio plays I have listened to many times, so how fantastic to find it here on visual TV! Thank you so much for uploading. it has been so enjoyable.
Another great upload. This is an adaptation of Irish writer William Trevor's short story 'Nice Day At School', it's more or less the same except she doesn't leave home for London, that was no doubt added to make a point about teen runaways & prostitution. I also got the impression from this version that her dad may have abused her, there's no suggestion of that in the story. In the story her dad is an ex wrestler who works as a nightclub bouncer. The young cast are from Anna Scher's theatre which was an Islington based arts school for local working class youngsters. Scher, who died last year, began as a teacher who would hold acting classes after school.
Been looking on and off for years for this. Certainly struck a chord one monday evening back in the day. Cheers!
I love this movie.
Thank you for sharing another fine slice of drama.
You can also recognize Nula Conwell from The Bill
I always thought "Birds of a Feather" was beneath Pauline Quirk. She really has done some great work.
She had some depth & became quite a good actor as she got older, not sure the same can be said for Linda Robson. They were childhod friends in real life, both attending the Anna Scher performing arts school along with Ray Burdis & others featured in this play such as sisters Gillian & Kim Taylforth.
I was as young as the kids when this was broadcast. Hard to believe.
Thanks for sharing this. I was one of the cameramen who shot this, it was good to see it again. The whole set was on a 2 ft riser above the studio floor to get all the low angle shots.
Clatty Bella :)
Queenie Watts, a wonderful and much underrated actress.
future KATHY BEALE
cross between mission impossible and get smart
Great drama 👍
That was a really good play it was very thought provoking
Thank you for sharing this. Superb acting but really shocking how that poor woman was treated.
Thank you AllanGildea. I really appreciate that.
I thought he found his spine when he told her to get the hankie herself. 😂She played an empty person part so well. She had nothing to give him. Maybe she just needed a job, the spoiled "cow" as they say in these British films. Good play, really enjoyed it. The 2 actors carried the whole thing, very good acting. 👍Thanks for sharing these with us. 😍
Well that ending was a turn up for the books!
Extraordinary stuff. Thank you.
Brilliant. Thanks for the upload.
What a twist, wonderful.
A couple of BBC sit-com stars loitering in the play who went off to greater and lighter things.
My Saturday night viewing. Thankyou PFF you delivered again! X
There should be more media about autism in business, its so interesting
Gillian tayleforth
Thank you so much for this movie !👍
I always thought the most realistic portrayal of how a current day Civil War might start was Euel Arden’s novel, Down Here in the Warmth. Great book. Militia on the streets of NYC.
Thank you! I love these uploads so much!! British drama is the best ❤
Always loved Play For Today whilst growing up in the seventies. I NEVER realised how many episodes were actually made. I've been looking for years for an old episode of Play For Tomorrow, entitled PUNTERS. Please can you help? Many thanks Dave
Thank you 😊🙏🕊️
Great, thanks!
this was really enjoyable. many thx PFF!
