Wichita State University: Dr. Beggs comments on Commencement
Thank you for the post! It was really informative.
As a Homebleach I actually want football
Join the Big 12, get in on the revenue sharing, and use the Big 12 to help build and fund the program. This will gain more traditional students, thus raising campus revenues. If you are worried about competing, look to KU. KU is a basketball school, with competitors in other non-football sports. WSU could easily be the same. We are good enough in Baseball, Track, Cheer, Bowling, and Basketball, to compete for the all sports confrence title, even without winning a football game.
Clear & Concise
I need to know if any history teachers or anyone else knows anything about the " The Invisible Eight " in 1903. I have a copy of a letter demanding $300 or they will burn the family out.
If they brought football back, WSU's enrollment would increase. I went to Nebraska. Why?...Football. Nebraska is a terrific school, and offers a lot academically and elsewhere, but I along with hundreds of thousands of others, heard about UNL, and went there because of football. Even if Wichita State started out D2, it would enhance the student experience, give the community a fall rooting interest, and INCREASE ENROLLMENT.
I'm think about going here for college for a medical degree.
"Those have all have occurred in poplust states that can support a Division I program with in state student athletes right of the bat," Does WSU HAVE to compete at DI for Football? Why not go for DII - and play against some very natural rivals like Washburn, Pittsburg State, Emporia State and Fort Hays State? That gives you four games a year without ever leaving the state.
