I have been out for 35 years and am filing a claim this week.

Thank you for the hard work to put this info. out for the troops. I was out more than 50 years before I applied for disability. I'm on my way, but they sure don't make it easy to do fully developed claims unless you're technically savvy.

The zero percent gives you an opening to expand it. In 1992 I filed and got 10% and walked away. Last year, 2023, I filed and now have 60%, full medical care, and am working with an attorney to increase my rating. I have 4 ratings of 0% and they keep denying my medical evidence. Go to the VA… FILE… you have nothing to lose… If you are still on active duty get a copy of your medical before you leave service. If you are already out, request a copy of your medical records. Going back has taken time but I am retired so I have to occupy my time while drawling my federal pension

i had this in boot camp but I only told my bunkmate who helped me in keeping it a secret, then onboard ship it started up again and I went to the VA hospital and was given some test all came normal and they placed me on some antibiotics but it continued, I was recommended by the medical officer onboard for a admin separation, my commanding officer recommended the discharge to be considered honorable, I tried going to the VA hospital in Miami to get treated and they told me I had no eligible rights to medical benefits, I never persude this I lived with this and the street depression and anxiety all my life, causing problems in my marriages relationships etc, trouble keeping a job because of the urine problem and the anxiety and depression. i found a VSO here in Panama who is helping me to file for disability

hello in 1983 while in boot camp I had wet the bed and I didn't say anything out of fear, only to my bunkmate who helped me, afterwards onboard ship it started again and suffered harassment and ridicule from other shipmates and my superiors, was discharged under administrative reasons under honorable for bedwetting. Ive suffered my entire life because of this with depression and anxiety, cant keep a job, or maintain too many relationships, I have outburst of anger unprovoked and problems with handling my emotions etc. recently am doing a file for VA disability. i was treated and examed for this in the Navy, I have the record, given meds but nothing worked
