Wow, two amber poisons with stoppers, buzzing!
Lovely bullet stopper mineral bottle
Many days spent dossing and tree jumping up at Kenty's back in the 80s. Us Audley kids were fearless lol. One tunnel came out again near to the farm on Moat Lane before they collapsed it. Fenced off in the 90s because it became unsafe (like it wasn't unsafe before lol) You never told your parents where you had been ;)
all of us new kids who live here still always go down to kent hill caves during sumner and just explore everywhere
That Lissen item is from an old valve radio from the 1930s. It's a coil. Lissen also made radio kits back then. Yes it's a modern tip but older stuff can be found because after the war people cleared there houses and older areas thrown out. The four pin bulb is a battery radio valve, again from the 1930s. If you ever find batteries stuck together in a box shape there old high tension radio batteries from the old days. They were high voltage 120v. Many dry cells connected in series. I have dug a few 50s tips with lots of jam jars and sauce bottles along with paste jars and Drean shampoo, that was a brand in the 1950s. You may also find tiny blue evening in Paris perfume bottles. The Gordon's gin bottles back then had clamp down lids. The 60s tips contain pre decimal plastic like washing up liquid bottles. I have even found pre decimal sweet wrappers along with birds eye food wrappers pre decimal. When I first started digging people would laugh at such a tip from the 1950s as they were deemed not old enough and I have found many an old glass motor oil bottle, mainly Esso ones and these are now saught after and sell for crazy prices. Same goes for pre decimal plastic but back in the 1990s so called modern tips diggers seldom bother with, not so now plus the fact when your digging such a tip it's a window to the past. That's the way I see it.
I love those green bottles
Be safe guys ?
WOW ! What a site.
Is the skeleton still in the wheel barrow?
not anymore its scattered under dirt
Does it work only for England? I wonder if there is anything for Scotland somewhere😢
Looks like alot of late bottles, 1950s etc
A lovely dig! Surprising what you can find in such a small area. Nice end summery!
Is this still open If so where is it
Audley Stoke-on-Trent st7, by a cemetery but its fenced off with just a little opening where we all sneak through
Don’t discard the broken Codd,s. Can be cut down and made into jars.
Amazing bottles here
Wow I'm so jealous I want to be there!
Great video mate did you ever find out where they tipped the stuff that they took away
Great finds well done
Thank you so much for sharing this Gav! Unfortunately the data website doesn't list anything in Scotland but your video has given me enough information and I've found some potential digging sites.
THX

Good video
Excellent 😍 id love to find a spot .
Some lovely old bottles well recovered enjoyed watching
Loving the channel hope to see you come back with more.
Some good finds there.
Yea if those milks and others are embossed or applied label can still be worth something. They would at this point be considered vintage.
Nice finds. Yea check with some local or even far away motorcycle shops on those lights. You might have found very hard to find parts. Folks are always looking to restore old motorcycles.
Still for being earlyer stuff some great finds.
Clean it up!
Not a torpedo where I come from its a bowling pin.
wow ! You got some nice stuff for digging in a 50s site !! 👍🤠
open the plaster tin people put coins and things in them
spoons and forks are of value too dumbie
good video some nice bottles keep digging enjoy the videos
"These are the little bits I managed to find". :o This is a huge haul, compared to what many bottle diggers & mudlarkers can find. I do hope you appreciate how fortunate you were, Gavin. I'm watching from Canada, & I was sad that you were so eager to find bottles that you didn't stop now & then to show us some of the pottery/china pieces that were cascading out of your holes. Even if it's not your thing, it might increase your subscriber numbers. Just a suggestion... :) Thank for the video & I have subscribed.
I hope you know that they have been using screw tops since 1858. I wouldn't discount them until you can identify the periods they are from. The "torpedo you found is called a bowling pin style bottle3. It's a nice find. Here's a tip I learned long ago. To clean the inside of the smaller bottles that brushes don't fit into, use a teaspoon of Budgie Grit with water and shake or swirl it around and it has always removed dirt and staining for me.
Pipe cleaners 0r twirling steel wool inside with soapy water works a treat aswell
It's criminal how many bottles must have been lost digging that lot up.
where is this at ?
Wish I knew where some thing like this was local got a big tip like this but as you say to deep to dig
That one your not too sure on with the different top.. Is called a lamont.. Really nice bottles!!!
Liked & Subbed xx
Perfect set of glasses!
Nice one mate
Hi mate , looking to get into bottle digging for a while, I live not far from you, don’t know if you want to meet up to go digging?
Really enjoyed this one! Found my first bottle today but think it’s extremely modern. Going to try your video out on landfill maps thank you!
Great vid. Would love of dived in there with ya. Lol. The diggers did all te work for ya. Awesome. 😎👌 Thanks for sharing buddy. 👍
Nice little lot there m8 well done 👍
I live around London and have used the historic landfill maps. You should try go for the 1930s tips because most of the time they have earlier items below and slightly older bits above. Danny
The pottery is amazing! Could make a ton of cool crafts
On those old bottles that are plain... You could take them home and print old labels for them. I bet they would sell like hot cakes. Just a thought.
