Night Owl Cycling Trails Under Construction, November 2023, Kingston WA

Today we took a two hour / two mile walk at the Night Owl Landing to see how much progress my mom Heidi Campo and her partner-in-crime Kelly Campo have made on their trail system construction lately, and it's a lot! I can't wait to run and bike and walk these trails more and more and more every time we can make it out to here

We were so excited to finally get another weekend to spend with our nieces, so after a low-altitude (yet still heart-pounding) corn maze adventure on Saturday, we set our Sunday sights on summiting Snow Lake, one of Washington's most famous and accessible alpine lakes. This is a rapid recollection of our recent adventure, and we already can't wait for the next one. Adventure: Caidence, Isla, Em...
September Scampering up Mt. Adams
Просмотров 95Год назад
Last weekend I climbed Mt. Adams with my soon-to-be father-in-law Nils. It was an exciting moment plentiful with camaraderie, inspiration, and a fair share of suffering! I'd do it all over again though, and I'm already looking forward to our next adventure together soon.

Scorching light on the wall and a crisp breeze in the tunnel. Feasts with every friend, and hoots and hollers under the stars. This is the time-old tale of Vantage.
Glacier Peak: The Most Remote Volcano in Washington
Просмотров 473Год назад
For five years I've dreamt of completing all five Washington active stratovolcano summits. Today I've got four behind me and the hardest one to go. It's not the technical challenge of Mount Rainier, but it does demand a far greater mileage. To pull off this weekend we 'll have to run 35 miles and climb nearly two miles above the elevation of our car. This is Glacier Peak. Oh, and Alex did most ...

Complex Routefinding on Mt. Constance (7756ft)
Great tips and hints. I also have Dupuytren's and learned recently that many of us with it get frozen shoulder too. I got that in both shoulders a couple years ago (for a year).. random I know ..
Clicked on this for some reason.... and glad I did. This is a master class on Bike packing.
🤩🤩
Really great adventure!
Inspiring, relaxing (well...to watch, anyway) and fun! I'll mention what was not - they did this during a ridiculously HOT week! BRAVO ZULU you guys!
My guy Naruto Running up Guye with a camp chair in his bag
love❤❤
Was in a trance for 17 minutes
so good!! kelly is the best!!!
sooo good
Amazing production, very grand!
Special edit credits to Sierra who added some amazing touches in the final stretch and thanks to my dad for inspiring me last night to finally get this footage from March out the door!
I love your video
What equipment did you use to shoot the video?
Thanks for watching - I shot it with a Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G lens and a A7IV camera
@@SimonHoke thank you. I love the vedio.
Great documentation and editing. Happy climbing 🎉
Impressive video, Great climb!!!
Thank you!
notice how much really crummy snow they skied??
Seen a lotta random shit brought climbing but a whole cantalope might be the winner ....
🤯🥳
Ropes are cheating as far as I’m concerned. If you need a rope and an anchor drilled into rock, you shouldn’t be up there anyway.
Nice work! That's definitely a good spot to turn around if the upper step is thin.
Thank you! We're looking forward to taking a look again when there's a bit more ice :)
Cool man, the edit made that look super chill.
Thanks man!
Nice edit, way to get at the essence of the thing! Great climb!
Thank you!
Bro! Insane! Amazing film👏🏽
Thank you!!
The East Face on the left was my first rock climb in June 77. Lucky to survive our naivete and crap gear, but the hook sunk deeply in my case. Looks like an epic winter foray, good work!
What an adventurous route for a first rock climb, and thanks for watching our foray! There sure are lifetimes of potential in these beautiful mountains and we’re already looking forward to our next excursion
so beautiful 🤩🤩
Ya, Fuckin cool...
high on my list of opbjectives. The whole Inspiration Traverse would be epic. I love that group
Killer!!!!
Very good progress for the FIRST EVER Skiing on these new ski's and a completely new terrain for him! Though the Kicker is tooo steep for him to first ever jump it without knowing how to! Make a little rocker so he can ACTUALLY pop OF the rocker, instead of him just "sliding" of the kicker and hope for good luck. It's always better to make the perfect pop of a rocker so you ALWAYS have the best control in the air, that's actually the only way to "jump" a Kicker or a rocker or even a little sidehit so u can just land perpendicular to the hill/slope. Backseat on ski's and not popping off the skis are the only main reasons for not landing a jump because you don't actually "jump" of the kicker. Take an example: Someone is ripping the ground away under your feet, you immediately fall uncontrollably and make a manuover called "arm swerving" like a chicken to "kind of" mantain control of your fall but will not have controll over it. Now let's say BEFORE someone rips the ground away you JUMP of the ground then land after the ground got rippen away. You'll land smoothly and more controlled on your feet /(skis) rather than falling and take a Snow hit (i like fresh snow in my face though nothing against it hahaha.) Take this as Advice and not me being mean and saying "you need to do that and that" It's still the best to find out your own way of doing it and conquer your fears, but making the Objects and surroundings around you easier CAN lessen the fear and boost confidence :) Although the video was still so enjoyable to watch and i wish Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
Thank you for the detailed advice and happy holidays to you as well! Next time we do a jump day I’ll be sure to focus on staying forwards (out of the backseat) and popping at the right time! I’ve already learned so much just watching the footage we got and I can’t wait to keep going!
@@SimonHoke That's so great to hear. Keep on grinding, hard work pays off! Will look soooo good and it's so much fun.
so good 😎😎
Way to just go for it and conquer those fears!

Wikipedia says there are over 400 established climbing routes in Vantage!
Yeah there's a whole book about them!
after the summit you go back all the way the same way you came?
Yes, we did descend the same route! It was a combination of rappelling and downclimbing
