Behringer PowerPlay P2 | Review

Do you have any questions/comments/suggestions? Put them down in the comments and I'll happily answer! Have a good one!
Gross teeth sucking sounds after each sentence
to Behringer: "you could've just done this better!" LMAO
Now it costs 58 Euro in GermanY
Why is NO ONE mentioning the mono/stereo specs of the thing ? Is everyone on the planet fine with mono in-ear monitoring ? When using XLR as input, are you using a mixer that can send an unbalanced stereo signal on a single XLR ? Which mixer supports that ?
Hey Arthur, on the P2 you have the option to flip a switch to enable mono/stereo-monitoring. However as you said, it depends on the mixer you're using whether it provides stereo on the outputs. I'm using it in stereo-mode and it works quite fine, e.g. I amplify the click-track on the left side whereas the rest is mainly on the right side. Hope I was able to help!
Why do we need to use this device? Can I plug the earphone directly into the mixing console? What’s the difference?
Hey Chao, thanks for your comment! You'd need the Behringer if you 1) don't have a jack port to plug in your earpiece directly into your console but a XLR port or 2) you want to utilise your XLR outputs to have an in-ear-monitoring for your whole band. Hope this answer is to your satisfaction, cheers!
Watched it in double speed and it was still slow.
Are you German (Austrian/Swiss)? because your nails are perfectly cut and you were quite disappointed by the clearance of the case. 😉
We are indeed somewhat obtrusive, are we not? :P Yes, you got it right, I'm German. ;)
@@lennidoestech6260 Haha, es ist gut. I love the German high standards for precision and quality! (I'm Niederländisch) Also your video is of high quality, well done!
What impedance of your DT770? I have 80 om and searching an amplifier for it because my field recorder have not enough volume. Thanks!
Hey! I also have the 80 ohm version. What to you want to use yours for? So, what volume do want to achieve?
@@lennidoestech6260 I use my 770 with Zoom H6 recorder. And while I record "delicate" or atmospheric sounds it's sometimes not enough volume. Thank you for your answer. I think Behringer P2 will be helpful for me.
Can I plug my guitar pedalboard XLR output directly to this?
Hey @Red Cat, I don‘t see a reason why you shouldn‘t be able to as the unit is merely an amplifier. So yeah, I‘d assume you could. I can ask my guitarist to try. :P I‘ll keep you posted!
It's a good unit for the price. My only minor whinge, is the belt clip itself. After a bit of usage, it begins to lose its tension.
Hey Roy, actually, I had to deal with this problem myself and found a working solution for mine: I spread open the belt clip in the middle so that the metal piece was once again quite tense. Give it a try - for me it worked wonders. :)
@@lennidoestech6260 Heya thanks for the tip. Me and my band are grabbing some this week, so I’ll definitely remember that. Thanks again!
Great review. My church wanted to buy them and I was hesitant being Behringer, but I feel somewhat more confident that it's a decent device. Thanks Lenni
Zenon Kazienko You‘re very welcome! I still stand by it being a really solid device. We use it in our band and yet there haven‘t been any complaints by the others. :P
