The driver in front is evidently distracted when the green arrow comes on. Therefore, we needed to use our horn. We used our horn in a way that was not aggressive. We like to call it a courtesy tap. Due to the driver not moving after 1 horn tap, we required 2 more.

Road rule 219 is relevant too - “ A driver must not use, or allow to be used, any light fitted to or in the driver's vehicle to dazzle, or in a way that is likely to dazzle, another road user.” So if another car is more then 200 m away, you still can’t use your high beam if it’s likely to dazzle them in any way.

It's been many years since I took drivers education. But I was taught it's the merging drivers responsibility to match speed and find an opening. And I drove like that for many years. But now I try to not be a complete pr1ck, and if possible I try to make room for the people trying to merge.

Just a quick question: Lets say, I want to turn right from a side road to main road, and its peak hour traffic. The main road has tram routes. Now, At the end of the side road is a STOP sign, so I am stopping compeletely. Since its peak hours, i dont have any visibility of the oncoming traffic on the other side of the road and the vehicles on both sides of the road are blocking my visibility for trams too. In that case, how should i proceed to take the right turn ? 1) Should i block the road just behind the tram tracks and stall the car traffic coming from right momentarily to see the trams ? (Wont I be stalling that traffic while I am checking for trams ? ) 2) Should I wait in the tram tracks and wait for the other side traffic to halt and then take a right turn (What if at this stage, a tram needs to halt for me ?) 3) Should I wait behind the stop sign till ALL road is clear, and then proceed for right turn ? (Wont I be stalling the traffic behind me in this case ? ) All above for vicroads test and for day to day driving, too.

Hi, what happens if I am waiting in the tram lanes for the other side opposite traffic is still coming and then the tram has to stop for me ? How to handle this and whats the best position to wait when i dont have any clear visibility of the trams as well as the other side traffic (Lets say, from side to main road at peak hours).

That means speed limits are not relevant to practical speed. It is for the government to bring in revenue. In Australia, the speed limits are coming down lower and lower.It soon be walking faster tham driving.😂

Before the N...

The elephant in the room, is LED globes. On these new cars, their fitted and angled down. All good if your on a flat road. Of course thats hardly the case, how often have you been blinded by an oncoming car thats on an incline, or better still, some wombat in an old 4x4 with aftermarket LED lights. Their absolutely blinding. To combt this with my falcon ute, ive installed a 24 inch lightbar on the nose, and two 54 inch lighbars on the forward ladder rack, and ive implemented a new policy 'your lights blind me, im returning the favour ten fold until you pass me'

I've seen someone on tiktok say when the headlights are on and especially at night that it's the "N stare" regarding the pic in your thumbnail. You don't want to receive the "N stare" for having your high beams on...

When he says squeezing throttle I'm assuming he means stay on acel a bit to balance out your suspension? Racing motorcycles is similar in ways to driving a car fast, but there is far less room for error. If you're deep in a lean around a bend and you chop off the throttle it unbalances the suspension and you lose tyre grip and that's when you crash 😂

Welcome to the first track day in the CRUDE Ultimate Driving Education dual-control 2022 Hyundai i30 Sedan N! This wasn't a day of getting blistering lap times. It was a day of having fun and learning together. The videos starts with me (driving instructor) having Jackson from Trackschool by my side. This was my last session before my students last session. I wanted to gain more knowledge and understanding of Winton Motor Raceway by a pro race car driver. However, as the day went on, both my student and I wanted to go faster! We definitely want to get back out there and beat our times. I was very open to it and always wanted to do it but the time and costs needed to be assessed. They appear to have no clue to the danger around them. They have never been in an accident and have no knowledge or just dont give a fuk. It cant happen to me attitude. They are all invincible until they get killed or crippled for life.

25 in South Australia. I'm not replacing my brakes every 3 weeks at the risk of being rear ended. If they want to be "safe" they can do their BS revenue rasing away from the main roads.

It is a ridiculous rule. We continue to elect fools to run our country. When this rule was first applied in NSW many stories immediately spread about dangerous near-misses. A bunch of drivers were on one of the motorways coming around a corner in the wet. Suddenly they see a police car that has pulled someone over. Everyone panic brakes. One dude had a semi beside him. Under panic braking the trailer brakes locked and the trailer drifted toward this dude almost wiping him out. The most sensible thing to do (apart from voting better) is to lift off the gas when you see flashing lights, but do not brake unless it is to avoid a collision. As long as we continue to elect "one size fits all" fools, they will continue to write "one size fits all" rules.
