Sticky hash at home

The end product of making some bubble hash out of trim in my kitchen, using a bowl of ice and two sizes of silk screen mesh to capture the trichomes. Looks like a puddle of mud. This particular one I am using a heater to dry it fast so that’s why it’s a little bit dark, but it is so gooey and blonde inside tastes so amazing just like the bud :)

    I really haven’t had anything from a dispensary that comes close to the level of herb we had on the black market prior to government regulations. It’s all trash now.

      It’s actually way more yellow than the vid shows and it is only the first two bags in the bubble bag set…220 and 70. I think because it’s from machine trim that there is ground up tiny pieces of leaf (chlorophyl) so I basically agree with you. Buds would be so much nicer to make it with :) This is really strong though and would impress anyone

    For some reason, I find that when I press flower Rozen and place it on a heating pad that is extremely low for a couple days and then I check it and depending on what it is looking like it may stay on longer. I have found that this takes away that burnt taste that is even in some of the best hash Rozen that I get at dispensaries and I know that I’m spelling that word wrong. I’m just too lazy to fix it.. I have done a few cold cures with flour and I find that it does not bring out the terpene profile the same way a low heat cure does? I was just curious about your thoughts? Great job! Cheers my g!!!!☮️❤️🧬

    • @rosinguy7794
      @rosinguy7794 Месяц назад

      I never have to use a heat pad for the rosin as I select strains that will “budder up” and dry almost right away with no influence. As long as the room is warm it should do it. BUT…like I said in my video different strains will produce different rosin and sometimes nothing you do will make it dry. As for burned taste…that is prob just the strain or even that the plates were just way way too hot when that rosin was made. It’s somewhat understandable because of a person wanted to get more weight extracted in total they could turn up the temp really hot and get darker runnier product but more of it and that would still be technically called rosin. That is not what I make. I usually press my flower 185-195 temp for about a min. After I extract, it’s ready to go and will actually loose flavour if it’s left out in the warm too long. Best is once it’s dry enough or how you want it, put it in the fridge and keep it there between hits. You will keep all the flavour. Thanks for watching my vids!

    • @Greenbushjosh
      @Greenbushjosh 26 дней назад

      Pressing flower has a very high tendency to taste burnt. Flower takes way more experimenting with each strain do to heat being applied to plant material. And I agree completely 190 is my go to temp for pressing flower 170 from bubble or dry sift.

    • @rosinguy7794
      @rosinguy7794 26 дней назад

      Well said man. I never get any burned taste because I found the strain and temp to pull the nice golden rosin. But ya so many variables

      @@rosinguy7794 absolutely man I use rosin evolution bags wen I press but I think I may pick up cut screens next time to try out how you did it looks easier your way. Do you think the is much loss from the twisted top you leave on? Because it sure didn’t look it

    I don’t understand what you’re trying to figure out if you’re not pressing something that comes out this color it’s not your fault. I don’t know if this is hash or this is flour, but if your flower is not pressing out this color then you either need to press better product or the heads have degraded in what you are going to push out a much darker color and if it’s hash, then this was probably placed in either a freezer or a refrigerator to slow down the oxidation process that is why you see everybody using a freeze dryer now because it easily removes the moisture in 48 hours. It causes no oxidation within the bulbous heads! With all of that being said, if you are using a Freeze dryer and you’re not getting this color I would just look into a new hobby.

    Dude get the smallest bubble bag set, and your hash will come out way way cleaner..easier to duplicate..use a sieve or course rasp..and you'll be golden. After it's dry the break it back down into powder..or press it all in 25 micron double bag..I wanna see the color.. good job..

    I grow my own and have been pressing my own concentrates for years. I just reach into a jar, grab a handful, wad it up, put it between the parchment sheets and press. I usually press either at 180F or 190F. It depends on each strain. I like the lower temperature presses because the aroma and flavor are on point. I have a Grandpa's stash variety pack growing now, and THAT stuff is FROSTY. It won't be ready for pressing for another 2 months because it has another month to grow, but I just like going into the room and smelling the air. It's all about the terpines to me. I press for about 3 minute "or-so," and usually call it done by that point. If anyone is worried about a few leaf flakes in their dabs, they're just a snob. 😅

      Just started pressing how do I get the rosin to be crumbly clay texture. I just have some sticky shatter type. I’m pressing at 195 f.

    • @Atouk
      @Atouk 9 месяцев назад

      @@Steve-rg7mq I press at 170 or 175 for a more crumbly texture. You'll have a lesser return, but you'll like the aroma and vapor better. When you press it at 175, gather your rosin and then "stir it" with your rosin tool. Make a blob of it on the parchment and let it sit overnight exposed. It'll break apart the next day. I never press at 195. 190 is the highest I go, and if the nugs don't produce decently at lower temps. it's not worth pressing.
