Honestly the best way to get into DnD (or any ttrpgs, but I'm going to talk about DnD because that's the system I'm most familiar with :) ) is just to dive in. My unsolicited advice would be to take the plunge into the deep end, and run a game yourself. You'd be amazed how many people will appear out of the woodwork if you mention you're looking for players, rather than looking to join a game. I would put money on there being people you know already who are also curious, but haven't had a chance to play. As you said, TTRPGs are much more well known now, it probably just hasn't come up in conversation. Running the game (being the "Dungeon Master" or DM) is a little bit more of a learning curve than starting as a player, but there are plenty of pre-made adventures you can pick up, many online for free, if the idea of creating your own campaign is daunting, and if your players are new as well you can all learn together :) Try it! If nothing else, you'll spend a fun few hours with friends, even if you get everything "wrong" (the secret is that as long as everyone at the table is having a good time, there really isn't a wrong.) If you're worried about what you need, local libraries often have the core rule books if you prefer physical books (I find them easier to flip through quickly during a game, but other folks prefer digital tools like DnD Beyond, it's just personal preference) Digital or hard copy, you need a Player's Handbook (you can share one with the group, you'll just need to pass it around during the game, and share for character creation, which can be fun to do as a group before you start playing anyway, and creating characters from scratch is one of the best ways to become familiar with the basic game mechanics). You'll also need a Dungeon Master's Guide to run the game, and ideally a Monster Manual, but you can get by without the last one if you have a premade adventure, because they generally include monster information relevant to the scenario you're running. You also need, minimum, one set of polyhedral dice. Ideally everyone needs their own set, or at least their own D20 (the most commonly rolled die in the game), or a digital dice roller (plenty of dice apps available for free) but you can share a set if you don't mind it being a little slower in combat. If you want to skip all of that and just get everything you need in one box, you can find a DnD "Starter Set" for pretty cheap (compared to buying the full book set. Google is showing me that a starter set runs around $15-25 in the US? But don't quote me on that because I don't live there.) There are two versions, I prefer the older one with the "Lost Mines of Phandelver" adventure, but the more recent one with "Dragons of Stormwreck Isle" is also great, either is a good place to start. They come with a full adventure specifically written to introduce new players to the game, a set of dice, a bare bones set of rules without all of the higher level details, and a set of (I think 5?) pre-made characters of different classes (fighter, rogue, spellcaster etc) that a group can just pick up and play. To run the game as DM you just need to read through the booklet and do a little prep beforehand. It tells you how to set up scenes for the players, gives examples of narration you can use, and has maps and pictures of the monsters etc to show to the party as the story gets to them. It's a good way to get a quick start :) ANYWAY, sorry for the info dump! I hope it hasn't made it more intimidating, I was attempting to convey that you can get prettymuch everything you need for free or cheap, online or physical copies, and then you just need pencils and some paper, the will to use your imagination, and some friends (and snacks. Snacks are very important.). In hindsight I may have overcomplicated it. 🤣 POINT IS, I hope you do find a game, or run one, there's nothing else quite like telling stories and rolling dice around a table (or a digital table) with other people. Can't wait for S3 of Vox Machina! it's going to be so good.

What you fail to understand is NETFLIX wanted a PG-13 version of Rebel Moon so they could maximize their streaming numbers and they let Zack release his version as an experiment.

Its sad that zack's fans dont really(they do but not so much!) hype for Zack's new work but actually more hype for what he might fulfilled for them if this 1 works....what fulfillment are those u asked?..its the revived of dceu!..its bias n not at its own merit...poor zack. Netflix use the snyder fans to hype up rebel moon on social media on the notion that Netflix will fulfilled the cult false hope.

Rook was the new Ashe from Alien '79, his effects, the ending which was too much like Resurrection (and Resident Evil with the black goo subbing for the T-virus lol), the way too fast gestation periods of the creatures, and Xenomorphs not really given a chance to shine outside of being plot devices for the awesome zero gravity section had me down on this one. 6/10, seventh out of the nine Alien films. Glad you liked it though, great review. Go play Isolation, it's what inspired Romulus, set in the same time period, and has a much closer atmosphere to the first film. Alien: Earth is show I've been tellin' y'all about, it's from Noah Hawley who is the showrunner of Fargo and Legion. Stars Timothy Olyphant. Was supposed to be set shortly after Prometheus...but word is now, it's set before. Hawley said it was a class based story, dealing with a rival company to Weyland and Yutani...the leaked plot is said to deal with the consciousness of a young girl being placed in the adult body of a Synthetic.
