"Chameleon" Original version of Chameleon released on the album Head Hunters (1973, Columbia). Later it has been performed by various artists. ‐ ‐ ‐ This concert was held in Helsinki (at the Allas Sea Pool, Katajanokka harbor) 25.7.2023 in really wet conditions, but the atmosphere was warm and happy! "Footprints" Herbie Hancock played the piano in the original version of Wayne Shorter's "Footprints" (Adam's Apple 1967; Blue Note). And another version with the Miles Davis Quintet (Miles Smiles 1967; Columbia). How terrible sounds this trumpet with harmonizer. Terence use a 30k Monette Trumpet to Put this shit effect.
Fuck this! It has no burn. When jazz musicians try to use electronics to make it more "commercial" and appeal to the MASSES they screw up the essence of jazz. I'd rather listen to real rock and roll or maybe Afrobeat. This is basuckly sonic b.s.
The main melody line sounds like Polish folk song, at any way, superb compositon in its best performance.
