I was a kid when my stepmoms sister tried to kill herself by jumping in front of a train. She landed before it could hit her, and her legs were left on the track and both got cut off below knee. We asked how much did it hurt, and she said it didn't really at first, the pain came much later. If I remember correctly it wasn't more than 5 minutes. She was bipolar, she tried to commit suicide couple of times after, but ironically and sadly died of pneumonia. She had won her demons at that point and actually wanted to live a long life.

The massive dump of adrenaline wouldnt allow you to feel shit. 30 minutes to a hour after you would feel massive amount of pain, but there’s a reason your body allows you to keep going without feeling the pain from trauma. I had got my hand trapped in a metal wheel on an oil rig in Oklahoma we call them "shivs" when I yanked my hand out of it like an idiot it took 4 fingernails with it I felt pain for like a split second and then just numb and pressure and then came the blood I know it's not as severe just telling a story

Not being allowed to play is nothing new. My school banned it 20 years ago cause a kid got hurt. Like, broken nose, glasses shattered with glass shards in their face level of hurt.

You don't ask kids opinions on stuff like this, if they had the choice they'd eat candy and ice cream for breakfast and watch tv/play video games all day rather than go to school.

Nah we play dodgeball at my high school currently. Teachers get to legally hit the kids, and vice versa and everyone’s happy. The only thing that doesn’t count are face shots but they still happen often

My high school allowed us to play dodgeball everyday and it would give us full credit as long as we wore gym clothes 😂

I feel like dodgeball is fine if kids are worried about getting hit, which is fair, especially if they have glasses or braces there should just be other games that’s how our school did it dodgeball kids volleyball tennis basketball I’ve been hitting the face a couple of times of volleyball and those things hurt a lot more than dodgeball and do a lot more damage to glasses I had to have one of the kid that lifted in the weight room to bend my glasses back in place I tried to get my gym teacher to do it but he just tried to give me another glasses…

PE teacher here. My 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students beg me every week to play 2 games. Dodgeball and sharks and minnows. Kids love Dodgeball.
