Funny enough, this ending kinda makes more sense if we were to think about Rainbow Girl too. If P-chan is just a figment of Ame's imagination, then the magic paper messing up her mind caused her to gradually lose P-chan and start seeing "us" instead. After the 5th use, her mind had been expanded so much she became self-aware that P-chan doesn't exist, but "we" do. Which is why she never mentioned P-chan during Rainbow Girl ending.

Thinking about it now, the "cucked" ending would ironically be the best ending, since she stopped playing this make-pretend relationship with her imaginary bf and found an actual boyfriend and actually seemed happy. Sure, from your perspective the first time you see it hurts, but it all makes sense when you realize that there was never a "player" to begin with

the revelation that "P-chan" is some figment of her imagination and not a player character she's just abandoned makes me feel better about her leaving

People say how this means that she moved from the fake imaginary boyfriend in her head but if think about it, in the text she mentions the term "current p-chan". This means she has done this before and is not planning to stop. According to the last few lines of text, she is planning of "upgrading" her imaginary bf into an imaginary husbando. So in a way she did not move on from p-chan, rather she is just continuing a viscous cycle.( atleast thats what i think ) Edit: I forgor to add the "did not" the first time

i have a love-hate relationship with this game. i love it for what it is, but i "hate" it because Ame's behavior, thoughts and feelings are identical to what I was like when I was 15. Purely obnoxious, insecure and terribly toxic person with clinical depression trying to find solace on the internet. In that aspect, though, the game does an EXCELLENT job portraying what a mentally deranged and lonely person is like so props to the creators (but also, i will never play it again because holy shit at some point it reminded me of my past self so much i was physically cringing XD)

Good for ame But kinda sad for us as the players Although it definitely makes you happy knowing she no longer needs you, her imaginary friend and found her purpose in life. Its kinda like those stories in shows or movies where people move on from their imaginary friends. Like they're happy knowing they completed their job in keeping the person sane enough to continue living. And begin to fade to nothingness while being happy knowing they're about to begin to start their new healthy life. I'm glad this ending exists At first I played this with mind of "Jesus man this game is crazy like ddlc" But over time it got quite depressing when you begin to learn the truth, you want to help her, but since technically.. you're her, most positive things puts her in a wrong path. I wanted a good ending so badly, I couldn't help seeing all these heartbreaking things. All of her texts and all of your REPLIES are actually what she's thinking.

No idea if this has been your name forever; or if you recently changed it. I saw your comment about the flock gathering for their master; I agree entirely. Something is amiss.

P- Chan is just an anagram for Ame's PC. She texts herself using her PC and her phone. It's her way of coping with her past, her loneliness and her desire for love and approval. So this way, this is the best ending as Ame stops depending on this fake person she created in her head, gets in touch with reality and handles her future on her own. No matter how hard P Chan tries, there's only one person who can save Ame, and it's herself.

So once you know this: * Do you Love me suddenly becomes just her living her own delusional bubble * Needy Girl Overdose becomes Ame having a meltdown and smashing her PC talking to herself * Nymphomania is just her addicted to self-love * Raising the affection rate too high causes a game over because you're actually making her more subsumed in being delusional * Internet Overdose becomes exponentially WORSE * All those moments where she was venting and breaking down is her yelling into a wall It's really sad.

I think which ending is the “true ending” totally depends on the player. This entire game is the Schrödinger's cat. If you loved ame-chan and cared about her well being, you will easily achieve normie life, (un)happy end world or happy end world. To achieve (un)happy end world or happy end world depends if the player turned on its internet. Basically you can not achieve happiness with internet on. And if you cared about ame-chan you will stop at happy end world. Anyone who achieved secret.txt fulfilled 2 condition: 1. Connected to internet so you can search how to achieve each ending. 2. Intentionally tortured ame-chan for fun or curiosity through every bad ending because you subconsciously believe ame-chan is just a game character, she doesn’t even exist. Only to find out a secret that you don’t even exist and ame-chan doesn’t even care about you because you are just an imagination. Well deserved.

This is actually beautiful. We, the player (or should i say GOD) need not to intervine with the digital being that is Ame. Ame knows that her imaginary creation "P-Chan" isn't actually real, and we, the player are controlling her creation.

This game really represent the feeling of a person with mental illness really well. I love it.

Can't feel a bit happy but also sad too when see the ending, lnowing that P-chan is the imaginary self of her yet she make it like real one

For Ame,This is quite possible the best ending for her because she's finally broken out of her cage and is pursuing a positive future and dreams. For Players,This is quite possible the most saddest/bittersweet ending because Ame no longer needs P-chan or should i say YOU no more and so she moves on from you The Ending isn't satisfying to the least..and I suppose that's the point. To shine a little bit of light,You as a Player just pulled a Doctor Strange and finally made a Mentally Unstable Girl understood that her path is destructive by literally making her experience 21 scenarios which includes the messed up ones. and If you literally put yourself on her shoes which...is exactly the real twist of the game.Then you've just achieved the best ending. Sure,Happy End World is the "Good Ending" because it's quite similar to this while Ame also Values You...But She doesn't slap you with Reality/Truth Bomb. That's the difference between a True ending and Good ending. The True Ending is Realistic while Good Ending just feels Good and Rewarding.

Oh thank God there is a happy ending.

possibly bittersweet for people not in a similar position as ame but for the handful of us who see her as a reflection? you shouldn't need to depend... always try and find your own legs to stand on regardless of if that p-chan may have just been a reflection, ah...

I find it funny how this looks like the best ending even if it shows that P-chan is a creation of Ame.

This is possibly the best outcome, Ame becoming more positive, confident in herself and not trapped in the constant need of validation of others. Whatever happens afterwards shes got a better mindset to chase her dreams than when she first started.
