This is it. The Best DS1 boss for me, this DLC was amazing! Even if I basically first tried them all except the Abysswalker haha, Made me change my views on DS1, same with Bloodborne

Haven't fought this boss yet, but the soundtrack here is one of my favorites in this dlc. It's so good, phase 3 especially is amazing. I know they basically took the Erdtree Avatar theme and made it sad, but my god did they do such a fire job at it.
the boss fight is alright, and even though this isn't even in my top 5ost of the dlc it's amazing! such a good ''remix'', great job
Midir probably hates Bayle for taking his crown for best dragon boss in the series.
fr, Bayle was my first of the 4 good fromsoft dragon fights and he is still the best, Midir a close second, with some bs off course
I will never not think Gael is the most overrated thing in this whole series. Yeah he's a pretty good boss, but man is he easy and predictable. Not something I want for a final boss in a dlc. Music is very good, but just like everything else about him, so overpraised.
he's definitely top 3 ds3 bosses for me, overrated af? yes, but doesn't detract from the spectacle of a fight, but yeah

My personal favorite ds3 boss here. Friede carried this whole dlc. I remember dying to her for hours even though I knew I could beat her anytime, I just wanted to keep fighting her.
she's not even in my top 5 ds3 bosses, I just don't like that these badass ladies can be stunlocked, this DLC was really bad imo
Easily my favorite boss in ds1, Manus is such a fun fight. Also my horny mind makes me think that Manus did some nasty things to Dusk. Kinda wish I was dusk, Manus is hot.

This boss and Manus clearly paved the way for how bosses were made in the series moving forward. All they needed to do was fix the roll which thankfully they did.

Still a great reveal and the music is so fitting, moody, and atmospheric. Just completely overused and done to death by the community. You ever tried rolling Gwyn? It's pretty hard honestly, makes the fight more fun for me.
haha this fight is actually a callback to what I did to him first time around back in 2022 (old ver). Bozo kicked my ass so hard that I had to rely on full tank iron flesh +parrying, so I did this again out of nostalgia, he's probably the hardest main game boss if you don't parry
Getting nostalgia for this boss. Easily one of the better ds1 bosses with a really good view on the arena.

Definitely a better dragon boss than Kalameet imo. Also I did not know you could cut Sinh's tail off. Cool detail, even though you don't get anything for it. I'd much rather they don't bring back that tail cutting mechanic from ds1, such a terrible gimmick that everyone seems to praise and want to make a return for some reason. I'd rather not ruin the pacing of bosses by constantly circling them to get the tail thank you.
I liked Kalameet's moves and stuff more, but this combat is better. You would be surprised by how many things can be cut in DS2, like the Rotten's arms! I like that mechanic as long as it's not tedious to do and not rewarding, but like an easter egg
@@WeirdTroll666 yeah I do prefer ds2 and bloodborne's approach to it. You don't get anything out of it (except for bloodborne's case where the boss's defense is lowered when you break a limb) which discourages focusing on it.

Fuck the bloated heads, I’m surprised you were able to hold yourself back from using the boss souls. Whenever I play souls games I use those things as soon as I get them! The souls are just too alluring for me…

forgor to remove my mask for the Dark ending... anyways, here's my second playthrough of DS1 finished, now with DLC, ask me anything! This was 12.5h, first playthrough was 1 hour less without DLC lol, Enjoyed this one though, PS3 version sucked a lot imo, but nostalgia... will also upload many many clips and funny this is dark souls moments lol, will make some rankings as well after DS3 so stay tuned Last but not least, check my unlisted vids in the playlist if you wish, dunno if I make 'em public and this is my first thumnail lol

Really weird how Alonne's runback angered you more than this one, but this one is easily the more loathed.
I died wayyyy more on Alonne's runback so that must have been why, but summons helped me on this one, this solo might be worse
I'll say it, I actually really really like frigid outskirts when going through it with the NPC summons. It feels like leading a band of warriors with you trucking through the frozen wasteland, trying to survive together. Seeking shelter under the small ruins.

Boss looking like literal Sauron entering the arena like that. This is one of the most epic fights in the entire series.

aside from the second phase explosion and some delays i didn't notice any difference I think :)
@@WeirdTroll666 I think blue smelter demon is the only boss in the series with moves that are randomly delayed and sped up is what I mean. Red version didn't have that.

@@someonewhodabs7998 There definitely are many of his attacks which get delayed more than usual. Maybe you got lucky? Look at some more footage of this boss if you're curious.

Never really got into hollow knight. I tried it a few times but I really hated how maze-like and convoluted the first level was. There was too much stuff that I couldn't do and everything looked the same. So I thought that if the rest of the game was like that then it wasn't for me. But I did fight the first boss and it was very good. This boss looks awesome.
Hollow Knight is in my top 5 games of all time, tried it out at 2022 but dropped it for the same reason you did, after beating the first level. Picked up ER and forgot it until this year. I like playing Metroidvanias with a map so that's how I did it and I had a blast, It's an all around perfect game
@@WeirdTroll666 sounds like a great time for you, I just don't vibe with level structure like this. I'm assuming the rest of the game is similar to the first level in maze-likeness and complexity, so I know I just won't like this game. But hey if you say it gets a lot simpler and more linear then maybe I'd give it another go.
@@Boc_theSeamster first level is extra complex bc most areas wrap around it in some way, It's Like the DS1 map, but it always retains that style, but as you progress you get new maneuvering skills which help traversing. Having a map on hand helps a lot avoiding trouble
@@WeirdTroll666 Interesting, Ds1 never gave that feeling of it being too much. It may be best for me to just avoid metroidvania's before I anger any fans of the genre. But I'm one to talk, cause if Fromsoft made a metroidvania souls-like, I'd probably play it to completion, like how I've been doing with Elden Ring, despite despising open worlds.
@@Boc_theSeamster haha some people say DS1 has metroidvania aspects and I can see that, but it's not enough to be part of it. I also Dislike Open-world games because I feel afraid of open spaces but both my top 2 videogames of all time are open worlds haha
Nice job man! Congrats on beating him. I'm sure you could really feel the choirs and the epic ost even more during your fights with him when it became personal for you.
thx, this was as difficult as PCR for me, I screamed and cursed at him after delivering the final blow, same with the latter. But I liked him really much, like the aforementioned, will rank stuff again :)
