@@BurnerNurse Ahhhh the census! Stuck in a corner of Rods road is it! Angled directly across from the post office looking through center camp! Yea the youngest in our group of 14 last year was 61! The young whipper snapper! Everyone else is over 65 to 80! The walking fossils! We should organize a walk to your camp claiming heath issues that only a ice cold popsicle can cure! None of that dyed sugar water either. We want the good stuff with real fruit juice! Might give you a membership patch!

@@BurnerNurse Laughing, that's the same mask i wear! 3M ! I carry two in separate doubled up zip lock bags! We should have known! Monday, the first chance to get on the Playa and they start clearing people off because of a wind storm on day one! By Wednesday the roads had such a deep layer of dust your boots disappeared with each step! Walking was slow with uneven terrain you couldn't see! Riding a regular bicycle was impossible. When you did it felt like riding on washboards in 6 inch fine deep powder and impossible to control your bike! Falling ment dust in every orifice of your body! I can tolerate the mask ( respirator ) it's trying to see that was really frustrating! I slept wearing my mask waking up to dig myself out! The wind destroyed tents and canopies and you needed a strainer to find anything you dropped! If 2024 is anything like 22 panic will set in and a endless dust storm will be from vehicles leaving! Just like 23 except instead of dust it was clay and water! First natural shower I ever took on the playa using shampoo and conditioner standing in a 4 foot round blow up baby pool! With the dust you can't use conditioner without getting caked hair! I'm not happy with your forecast! However I'm grateful to have received it!

@@offgridselfteliant I’ll check the forecast closer to the burn. Right now, some are calling for 100+ weather and then accuweather has Gerlach in the mid 80’s on the main weekend. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@BurnerNurse oh joy joy! That means limited day activity, a lot of night activity and making sure your back to camp to get some zen sleep as long as you can before the morning heat wakes you up! There's no rv or bus in my camp! Praise reflective bubble wrap! Please tell me there is a top crust layer and not dunes at 10 o'clock! Please no dunes! Another 22 is not the experience I'm looking for here! How about a 2019 ( Metamorphosis) forecast! 80-90's day 40'-50's at night! 22 was the hottest in record as well! I didn't get ( Waking Dreams ) I woke digging out of dust! Then there was 2014 ( Caravansary )with 10 inches of rain during the event! It's been a journey ( Beyond Belief 2003 ) and now in 2024 it is getting ( Curiouser and Curiouser) ! I'm checking and recheck'n put on new tires, tune up, headed down hwy 80 for 1200 miles! Hey, if anyone needs a lift along 80 don't panic! I got you!

I was confused at first as well. I made it easy for everyone. In my “about” section you will see a link to my Amazon page. On that page, look for the list that says: My Camping Setup.” I have the impact driver, sockets and adapter I’m using this year so you can get an idea of what you need as well. The 20v was recommended by Black Rock Hardware for their shade structure. Check your sockets to lag bolts when they arrive. Lmk if you have other questions 🙂

This is a good question! Veteran burners are very snarky people. This can be sub’d for a hello/goodbye. Like saying “drive safe” to someone going on a road trip. But it also means to discard any expectations you might have about the experience you could have this burn. Just go with the flow and do what’s right for you. And sometimes it just means - f*ck your burn!

It works well for a solo burn or even a couple, but it wouldn’t work for a camp. And I remove them from the box before leaving.

@@Andrew-zf8yq i brought 10 cases, recycled the empties and donated what I had left over to my camp bar. The extra room in my car when I left was key. It worked out well for me
