Hey! Yeah it changes slightly there, then goes back to the same riff! I just changed the low E (no fret E string) to one octave higher (7th fret A string) just to mix it up :)

Yep! It's a sweatband/wristband :) When I play with my fingers, I need to shift my hand and wrist up and down a bit to mute/play the strings, and not using one makes my wrist feel "stuck" at first, and then after a while, it'll start to becoming sweaty and slippery. It's just annoying, so I use a sweatband on my right wrist at all times. Makes it way more comfortable!!

Oh man, some day I'll get a fretless bass just for songs like these! They work so much better to emulate that upright bass sound!

Hey Chris! I tried out the non-scrolling setting a while back and whilst it works just as well, I just felt that if it scrolls it "looks" more dynamic if that makes sense? I guess it's because people watch the cursor move, and seeing the tab bar move in and out of frame helps with the feeling of momentum or tempo. Don't think it's a big deal nor that setting it to 0 is worse or better, each to their own no? :)

Hey!! You are too kind! The reason I (almost always) state it's not 100% correct or perfect, is because some people expect a cover to be 100% note for note the same as it is on the recording. I have no qualms with people wanting that, but as long as it's close and not wrong (meaning, the wrong notes) I personally think it's okay - but yeah that's my whole idea behind it! :)

Flaccid, that's an interesting way to put it! ;) But yeah, during the interlude the bass adds harmony and rhythm to it, which is quite noticable when it's not there - and to me that's the magic of bass :D

Hey! That is an excellent question, since I thought the same! I've used some AI audio isolation software that extracts the bass as well as it can (it's far from flawless ofc) but it did sound like quarter notes. I also check some live performances, and I found out that Greg K is indeed just playing quarter notes through the verses, so that backed up what I was hearing :) Still, I could be wrong and most likely have been wrong in other covers I did, but as long as if I don't play the wrong pitched note, I don't think it's a big deal. The cover is a cover, not a perfect recreation! :D

So many rock music from the 70s used the bass rhythmically and that's what makes them so much fun to play! :)

@@ytbassmonkey Alice in Hell is their best album. Their Set the World On Fire (where Sounds good to me comes from) has a more pop/mainstream feel but still a great album.
