👍😃✨️⭐️🤖
Very nice man 🎉🎉🎉 amazing 🤩
I don't suppose you have plans out there for this? We have a sick friend and I've been thinking of putting something together so she can "go to" a meetup that she has been wanting to go to for a few years now.
@GeekBoi That sounds like an awesome project. Telepresence robots can be used for all kinds of really useful situations, especially like what you've described. We have talked about developing Grover further in the future, but nothing is concrete yet.
He needs guns
As a hobbyist metal caster I would probably make a mold of the gear and cast it in solid Aluminium or even Brass if the weight is not an issue. This does look way better than just the printed one though. ⚙👍
@ralphmourik yes. Good thinking. I'm right there with you. I already have plans and equipment in place to start replacing all of the 3d printed parts with cast aluminum once I'm satisfied with the initial design.
@@ralphmourik 3d printed parts are only for the design phase. 👍😃
@@arxmechanica-robotics Oh this gonna be very interesting then, you got my sub! 👍
@@ralphmourik I just recently bought a furnace to melt scrap aluminum.
@@arxmechanica-robotics Propane or electric?
And then.... Grover went rogue! Great buddy there, love robots 🎉
LOL. 👍😃
Nice work! Have you got a rotational bearing in the shoulder as well as the thrust bearing?
Thank you. I only have the one. I would like to add a second for added support.
Right now, I'm designing two humanoid robots and I'm about to go nuts-one's for a school project and the other's for a personal ai project. Wish me luck! T_T
Good luck. Post a video. I would love to see them. 👍
looking good dude.
Thank you. 👍
Mmm
Song?
Are the 18650 in parralel?
The two 3.7 volt batteries are in series, so together they are 7.4 volts. The buck converter drops the voltage down to 5 volts to power the raspberry Pi 4.
@@arxmechanica-robotics gotcha doing smth similiar with 3 batteries and a buck converter
Nice! Doing smth similiar except with a tp4056 and using the gpi0 pins instead of usb c
Can you provide details on how the bot moves according to how it tracks?
Geez! What mm/s is that?! I use an Elegoo Neptune 3 pro and usually stick to printing around 75 mm/s. And I haven't tried going any faster than 100. That's awesome! Thank you for posting!
That was 200 mm/s, but it can go a lot faster.
@arxmechanica-robotics dang I'm gonna have to try pushing the speed on mine more to see how much it can tolerate.
That's looks great! Way more compact that a lot of the others I'm finding. Would love to see a future version with an inclusion of extra servo for tilting left and right. I'm designing a bot right now and will definitely consider using this for its neck. Thank you!

How can we use Gemini ai in inmoov robot?
That's a great question. We are planning to integrate different models into our robots. Probably as ROS nodes at first, working together with other nodes to create a well rounded interactive experience for us and hopefully eventually the robots themselves.
❤❤❤❤
Do you wire it up to a USB plug, or some of the pins on the board?
USB C is the plan.
You can use a bit more of 5V so that compensate the voltage drop of the cables. Also keep in mind that you need some protection circuit to not overdischarge the batteries, less than 3.2V per cell on li-ion can damage the cell. 😅
@@siliconplay5 Thanks for your comment. These batteries have built-in discharge protection and the final length of the USB cord after the buck converter isn't going to be more than 6.5cm. I'm not worried about any voltage loss. I could up the voltage by a couple tenths of a volt but i doubt we'll need it.
Printing to fast or need isn’t leveled
Oh totally. I agree. It's nowhere near a perfect print. It was literally the first test print in 6 months. The leveling is perfect. The nozzle was a little clogged because it was in storage. But, that being said, it's structurally sounds and does the job, and that is what is important. It's not a fashion show. It's renegade robotics. Lol. Thanks for watching. 🙂👍
@@arxmechanica-roboticsthe filament might need dehydration too if it’s been sitting out for that long
@@arxmechanica-roboticsidk if you live somewhere very humid but here in south Florida moisture is a huge issue for my filament
@@willsum409 totally correct. I moved from a very high humidity climate to a rather dry one in the past couple months. I plan on buying a dehydrator soon. Thanks for the observation. I appreciate it. 👍
@@willsum409 Tampa Bay is where I recently moved from. I know the struggle all too well. 😃👍
6 MONTHS??????
Yeah. We packed up the lab at the beginning of the summer and moved across the country. The process took about six months. Now we are relocated and back in action. (The print didn't take six months. 🤣🤣)
Yay! I'm glad you're settling in!
There is so much happening.
Hey mate how's the build going, I'm just about to start assembling the hands on my build! Hello from Queensland Australian, Alan
We recently moved across the country and are in the process of setting up shop again. More videos coming soon.
yay
Take a look at 3d print electro plating… i think itle actually help joints like this
That look great and cool keep up!!!!!!!!
bad not workinig
Where can I buy the full head?
You can't buy it. You have to 3d print the parts and assemble it yourself. It's open source. All the parts and assembly instructions can be found on Gael's website www.inmoov.fr
@@arxmechanica-robotics Thank you
If you build those people will buy and I’d be your first 💴👏👏👏
Shut up and take my money 👏👏👏👏
haven't seen you in months,my RUclips algorithm is out of place
Do you know the total weight that can be added to this uni? How much weight can it carry?
Product states 11 lbs. (5KG)
ok add ai
On the list, for sure. One step at a time.
How will you do AI? Also, can you try making a tentacle robot?@@arxmechanica-robotics
Bro is literally making Automail from Fullmetal Alchemist Sick work dude, prosthetics are always cool
Can he do the crip sign
Yes
underatted
this has gotta cost a lot of money
The materials cost for one forearm and hand is somewhere around a hundred dollars. The time invested is way, way more than that. If I paid myself for time.... yeah, it would be very expensive.
can the robot do the middle finger
lol. Yes he certainly can. Is that all you really want?
@@arxmechanica-robotics nah but i just wanna send that to an enemy on discord lol and can a robot breakdance?
@@nachochips1080 haha. He can def break, fairly easily. Breakdance..... doubtful. lol
@@arxmechanica-robotics maybe he can do a tiktok dance?
@@nachochips1080 I'll ask him what he thinks about that. lol
Hella dope man!
Thank you.
give him big muscles
bro is gonna make FNAF in real life
this man's gonna build IC-1 before the tesla bot comes out
Real
Happy holidays IR-1
What is the guy's name
We refer to him as IR1 (Inmoov Robot 1) since he is the first Inmoov robot I started 3d printing a few years ago. We also have an IR2 and an IR.5 (half scale). Thanks for asking.
Question: are you going to put some sort of skin layer over this or are you just gonna leave it be
This robot will mostly not have an outer skin, but it's in the planning stage to have sensor skins on future robots. Thanks for asking.
dont forget the ogs when u become famous
