Great to see you all Atari here! my favorite console is the 2600. I was 9 when I first saw it here in Brazil. Played til I was 12. Dreamed of making my own 2600 game one day. I just bought the G3 plus a 2242 m.2 gen 4, and I guess I just found out why my device won't boot with the 2242 installed.

Thats an mATX case, with an itx motherboard. The itx version of the jonsbo does not have the cutout in the back for the psu. It's suspended within the case with a bracket.

Thank for the comment about the raid stuff, it didn't reconize my SSD when i had raid eneabeld but when i turned it off it worked flawless.

Got exactly the same model. Bought it because my raspberry pi 4 model B home server suddenly dead. Running CasaOS on top Xubuntu minimal now. Only 0.5watts idle.

It's not 20 pin converter cable, it's a 18 pins.

I have a G3 and I've upgraded the RAM to a single stick of 32GB DDR4. Works like a charm. I also have Windows 10 on the 2242 NVMe and Windows 11 on the 2280.

These are great little computers. I have successfully added a 1 TB 2242 SATA M.2 and am using it as a media server. The original boot disk is 2280 NVME M.2 mine came in the 256GB flavor. I have found you can download the Win 11 install direct from GMKTec to install on a larger drive. Apparently direct cloning of the Win 11 install does not work. Both slots are reported to accept up to 2TB drives. Even the standard 8GB ram have been plenty for a Plex Server running on Win 11. Pleasantly surprised at what this little machine can do.

I purchased the 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD version, but both components turned out to be from some off-brand Chinese manufacturer. When I left a review on the official product page, it wasn't approved, yet reviews with photos showing LEXAR-branded components were accepted. This feels shady. Returning the units would be too much of a hassle. Lesson learned: stick with reputable brands that have a reputation to protect, not these fly-by-night whitebox resellers. I am posting this on everything i can find related to GMKtec NucBox G3.

Hi i'm interested in buying a NucBox G3 .Can i leave the M.2 2280 as is with Windows 11on it and get a M.2 2242 and install Linux Mint .I want to dual boot on the 2 separate ssd's , is that possible ? Loved your presentation ,subscribed to your channel.

Pretty good specs. I came from the other channel, but I do know a bit about tech (I worked at a PC boutique place for 3 years, building and RMA). I do want to know what kind of temps the CPU is getting on that tiny box. It looks like it punches decently, and I like how you're not just using easy games. But temps are what I'd be worried about.

myy boss grabbed one for dental customers OP rooms - but this is a intel mobile cpu - basically old SOC they couldnt sell - but you can get a AMD one from other brands under $300 with a AMD 5500 6C/12 thread (this intel is 4 cores no hyperthreading) the amd comes with 16GB ram, nvme drive, hdmi and dp out, etc

Looks to me you used a Mini-itx board (not micro-ATX, strangely mini-itx is smaller than Micro-ATX), looks to me the power supply is pulling air from the side(not the top) and blowing it out into the case.

The main M.2 is PCIe 3.0, but the secondary M.2 2242 BM port is only SATA right? No extra PCI slots on this PC. Have you been able to boot with the M2 2242 Sata hard disk? I'm considering using the PCIe 3.0 for a TPU and booting with a SATA disk in the secondary slot.

Came across this and made the same move, but having an issue with the psu not working or turning on when everything is connected. Any ideas? PSU is tested and works, but when using this 24pin to 18 pin adapter, it doesn't.

Jon, just a comment a little off the beaten path … When I first discovered your channel, I was pleasantly surprised to see my old workhorse the Commodore 64 up on your rack to your left.😃 I started the CIS degree program from DeVry in ‘83 (back when Bell and Howell put out a great degree program). I bought a C-64 to use while in college - which served me well in the limited spreadsheets and data storage for our projects during the 2yr8mo Bachelor’s degree. Was it intense ! Anyway, I kept that machine and all peripherals up until a year ago when I needed the storage space in my garage. I donated it to a local Goodwill. I fondly remember playing an iconic game on the C-64 that was my recreation away from the intense study at DeVry… it was The Red Baron I and II. Later I bought a Dell to play Red Baron 3-D. I miss that game so much ! Anyway, just a note to say ‘thanks’ for keeping the VIC-20 and C-4 alive and relevant in computer history !😉👍 Nowadays, I’m more interested in your Self Defense launchers and all the great info you share. I bough mine 2 weeks ago, nice mini pc. However the fan works too loudly for a few secs, then stops, then works loudly again. I don't think its normal.

Micro ATX systems are fun to have for gaming, especially if you're connecting it to a 4K TV. That was really nice of you to build it for he's daughter who I'm sure will love it. Plus with the price of last generation GPUs for AMD coming down, they'll have some good options if they add one. I'm excited to see that 3D scanner and see how long it takes to do a complete scan.

As you already know, there are many makes and models of PPS and that one Looks Capable. That one looks like it would fit into a Large Go-Bag. I have a Feeling that We are All going to be Needing them THIS YEAR. I Do Hope that I am Wrong. Thanks for the Info.
