I am normally a board gamer and not so into RPGs. But this sounds incredible. It gives some direction, which is what I miss in some other solo RPGs I tried in the past and why I bounced of these quite hard. I need a bit of direction, which is why I like war games like Silent Victory or Nightfighter Ace which are actually dice rolls on tables but you can develop a story around the exploits of your crew and what happens when they get attacked. On the other hand, one of my favorite board games is Everdell, and it looks like I can almost create that atmosphere with this RPG.

Fantastic overview! Had an older pdf on my computer for a long time and only recently revisited it in preparation for a DND game. I like combining ideas from other RPGs in my campaigns but I’d like to just run this system as is because it’s so clever. Definitely also feel madness is totally out of place as you mentioned. Wonderful system otherwise.
