@@tedarcher9120 If I'm in a car designed to bend and crush as it should, plus the other car is designed to bend and crush as it should, then I would indeed be lucky. But I wouldn't be fully accurate calling it luck. More like millions of hours of work by thousands of engineers to make cars crush and crumble to absorb force and direct it away from occupants, increasing survivability immensely.

No thats literally the opposite point of crumple zones, which makes sense because this truck doesn't have them. Crumple zones are meant to prevent all the energy being dissipated onto the passengers. If the rear axle snapped in half, just thing what it would be doing to your spine.@@dfjanus8014
