I apologize that it cut off abruptly - my phone ran out of storage! 🤦♀️ But I was mostly done, anyway, so I figured I'd upload it so y'all can see how a funnel pour painting is done.
5. Painting: Swipe on a Hanging Shelf

I did this swipe pour painting for a friend, adding a new little something at the end.
4. Painting: Swipe for Cells!
Просмотров 232 месяца назад
I finally learned how to get cells to pop up in a pour painting. I used the swipe technique on wood in this video.
3. Painting: Swipe Technique: More yellow, please!
Просмотров 352 месяца назад
I didn't quite like how the yellow didn't show up in the first painting, the previous video, so I did another one. At the end, see if you can spot the animal that showed up in the upper right hand corner. Tell me what you see in the comments.

5. Inspire: Sexual Assault

TRIGGER WARNING: If you are a victim of sexual assault, proceed at your own risk. In this video I talk about my experiences with sexual assault while in Mexico, and one factor that contributed.
I cracked up when you went to do the squiggles on the tips and you said "this is where the art comes in".. i thought it came in a long time before that point. Tip-when using a hairdryer, push the paint very slowly on COOL air, you don't need to shake the dryer. And you were right when you said paint is thick - watch Olga Soby or Rinske Douna's earlier videos oh and Kannela Ciracao. They're so helpful. Pourfection is not impourtant in paint pouring
What I meant was "art beyond the technique of the blow dryer." 🙃 Btw, what kind of blow dryer do you use? I plan to experiment with the cool setting on mine next time; I just needed to get a feel for the blow dryer at all, first. Why do you say not to move the blow dryer side to side? I've seen plenty of videos where painters do it and even instruct viewers to. Does it create a different effect if you just blow straight? I'll see if I can find the videos you mentioned. Thanks! I don't understand what you meant by that last sentence. You gave me a bunch of instructions, and then seemed to say perfection is not important. Am I missing something?
You could strain that white with a tea strainer to get the lumps out before you pour it.😊
Oh, that's a great idea! Thank you!
Soooo beautiful! I love the color combinations.
Thank you, Sis! 💞
I like the camera angle.
Yeah, I just dislike having to go around the table & cat tree to get to it. Lol But for a canvas this big, I needed a different angle.
Love your work. We all were learners. I started during lock down ❤
Thank you! I literally started in July - 3 months ago! I have so much to learn, but it's so much fun. ☺️
When you were holding it up we couldn’t see it , unfortunately, your camera angle was too low… from briefly seeing it , it looks pretty! 👍👋🥰thanks for sharing!
@@pattil7947 Thanks for the feedback; I'll try to be mindful of that in the future.
Very pretty!!!
@@dawnaskey4975 Thank you! Unfortunately, when it dried the white took over, and it looked awful. I'm going to redo it.
I love it!❤
Can you do one with warm/fall colors?
@@naomiwhitford5395 I need to get my hands on some more red paint, and I need to thin the shades of yellow that I have... And then, yes, I can definitely do that!
smart reusing canvases. I always see them in thrift stores. thank you
@@2oldhags You're welcome! Honestly, until the lady at the craft resale shop suggested it, I hadn't thought of doing that, either. 🙃
Hello just stopping by to say hello and support a new creator with views and subscribers. If you are not going to save your paint that falls off the canvas, dog pads are a cheaper way to catch the paint. Or if you have a dollar store they have plastic rolls and quirt bottles. Adding water will make it thinner to help. Just some tips on things that I used when first starting. Good luck and ENJOY YOURSELF.
Thank you for the advice and support! I have started saving leftover paint, and in video #4 I used the leftovers from #3 in my painting. I'm calling it my "nothing wasted" bottle. Also, I'm learning how much water to use for each paint, to get the consistency I want. I've been keeping notes on each one. I'm learning so much, and having a blast!
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
You are so strong and caring!!! Thank you for inspiring others!!!
Apparently I didn't get notified of your comment... Thank you for your kind words! I miss you bunches.
